Normality of complex contact manifolds

2000-12-01
Korkmaz, Belgin
Complex contact metric manifolds are studied. Normality is defined for these manifolds and equivalent conditions are given in terms of delG and delH. GH-sectional curvature and H-homothetic deformations are defined. Examples of normal complex contact metric manifolds with constant GH-sectional curvature c are given for c greater than or equal to -3.

Distance-based discretization of parametric signal manifolds
Vural, Elif (2010-06-28)
The characterization of signals and images in manifolds often lead to efficient dimensionality reduction algorithms based on manifold distance computation for analysis or classification tasks. We propose in this paper a method for the discretization of signal manifolds given in a parametric form. We present an iterative algorithm for the selection of samples on the manifold that permits to minimize the average error in the manifold distance computation. Experimental results with image appearance manifolds d...
Invariant manifolds and Grobman-Hartman theorem for equations with degenerate operator at the derivative
Karasözen, Bülent; Loginov, B (2003-01-01)
Analog of Grobman-Hartman theorem about stable and unstable manifolds solutions for differential equations in Banach spaces with degenerate Fredholm operator at the derivative are proved. In contrast to usual evolution equation here central manifold arises even in the case of spectrum absence on the imaginary axis. Jordan chains tools and implicit operator theorem are used. The obtained results allow to develop center manifold methods for computation of bifurcation solution asymptotics and their stability i...
Numerical analysis of radio frequency inductively coupled ion thruster and computation of its performance parameters
Bozkurt, Erdal; Alemdaroğlu, Nafiz.; Department of Aerospace Engineering (2019)
The main goal of this thesis is geometric and parametric analysis of a simulated cylin-drical two-gridded Radio Frequency Inductively Coupled (RF-ICP) ion thruster. Inaddition, instrumental performance of this thruster and the effects of a fixed shapeof the electrodes on ion trajectories are investigated. The simulations of the plasmaand the ion optics are performed by using COMSOL Multiphysics software. The firststep is checking the reliability of the software. Radial and axial simulation parametricresults...
Axial vector transition form factors of N -> Delta in QCD
Küçükarslan, Ayşe; Özdem, Ulaş; Özpineci, Altuğ (Elsevier BV, 2016-12)
The isovector axial vector form factors of N -> Delta transition are calculated by employing Light-cone QCD sum rules. The analytical results are analyzedby both the conventional method, and also by a Monte Carlo based approach which allows one to scan all of the parameter space. The predictions are also compared with the results in the literature, where available. Although the MonteCarlo analysis predicts large uncertainties in the predicted results, the predictions obtained by the conventional analysis ar...
Conformal vector fields with respect to the Sasaki metric tensor field
Şimşir, Fatma Muazzez; Tezer, Cem; Department of Mathematics (2005)
On the tangent bundle of a Riemannian manifold the most natural choice of metric tensor field is the Sasaki metric. This immediately brings up the question of infinitesimal symmetries associated with the inherent geometry of the tangent bundle arising from the Sasaki metric. The elucidation of the form and the classification of the Killing vector fields have already been effected by the Japanese school of Riemannian geometry in the sixties. In this thesis we shall take up the conformal vector fields of the ...
