Dolgu Dalgakıranlarda Antifer Ünitelerin Farklı Dizilimlerinin Dalga Aşmasına Etkisi

Besides stability, the most important criterion in the design of rubble mound breakwaters is the serviceability, that is mostly determined by wave overtopping.Wave overtopping discharges are usually estimated using empirical formulas available in the literature. The effect of different armor layer units on wave overtopping is reflected in accepted design specifications using roughness coefficients (γf). However, the effect of different placement methods of these units has not been fully addressed and discussed. The different antifer placement methods proposed in the literature, namely closed pyramid, double pyramid and irregular placement methods, were used and experiments were carried out in a total of eight different armor layers, considering the different packing densities. The results of the experimental studies show that different antifer unit placement methods significantly change the wave overtopping discharge. Based on the experimental results, new roughness coefficients (γf) are proposed for different antifer unit placement methods.
