A class of orthogonal polynomials suggested by a trigonometric Hamiltonian : Symmetric states
Taşeli, Hasan (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2004-05-01)
A new subclass of the Jacobi polynomials arising in the exact analytical solution of the one-dimensional Schrodinger equation with a trigonometric potential has been introduced. The polynomials which consist of a free parameter are not ultraspherical polynomials and have been simply named the T - polynomials since they are generated by a trigonometric Hamiltonian. In certain sense, it is shown that the T - polynomials can be regarded as a generalisation of the airfoil polynomials or the Chebyshev polynomial...
A concatenated construction of linear complementary pair of codes
GÜNERİ, CEM; Özbudak, Ferruh; Sacikara, Elif (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2019-09-01)
A concatenated construction for linear complementary dual codes was given by Carlet et al. using the so-called isometry inner codes. Here, we obtain a concatenated construction to the more general family, linear complementary pair of codes. Moreover, we extend the dual code description of Chen et al. for concatenated codes to duals of generalized concatenated codes. This allows us to use generalized concatenated codes for the construction of linear complementary pair of codes.
A modal superposition method for non-linear structures
Kuran, B; Özgüven, Hasan Nevzat (Elsevier BV, 1996-01-25)
The dynamic response of multi-degree of freedom (MDOF) non-linear structures is usually determined by the numerical integration of equations of motion. This is computationally very costly for steady state response analysis. In this study, a powerful and economical method is developed for the harmonic response analysis of non-linear structures. In this method, the equations of motion are first converted into a set of non-linear algebraic equations, and then the number of equations to be solved is reduced by ...

A class of authentication codes with secrecy
OZBUDAK, ELİF KURTARAN; Özbudak, Ferruh; SAYGI, ZÜLFÜKAR (2011-04-01)
We study a class of authentication codes with secrecy. We determine the maximum success probabilities of the impersonation and the substitution attacks on these codes and the level of secrecy. Therefore we give an answer to an open problem stated in Ding et al. (J Pure Appl Algebra 196:149-168, 2005). Our proofs use the number of rational places of a certain class of algebraic function fields. We determine this number by extending the corresponding results of E. Cak double dagger ak and F. A-zbudak (Finite ...
