Nuclear effects on the transverse momentum spectra of charged particles in pPb collisions at root s(NN)=5.02 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2015-05-01)
Transverse momentum spectra of charged particles are measured by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC in pPb collisions at root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV, in the range 0.4 20 GeV/c compared to expectations from the pp reference. The enhancement is larger than predicted by perturbative quantum chromodynamics calculations that include antishadowing modifications of nPDFs.
Nuclear level density with non-zero angular momentum
Behkami, A. N.; Gholami, M.; Kildir, M.; Soltani, M. (IOP Publishing, 2006-09-15)
The statistical properties of interacting fermions have been studied for various angular momentum with the inclusion of pairing interaction. The dependence of the critical temperature on angular momentum for several nuclei, have been studied. The yrast energy as a function of angular momentum for (28)Si and (24)Mg nuclei have been calculated up to 60.0 MeV of excitation energy. The computed limiting angular momenta are compared with the experimental results for (26)Al produced by (12)C+(14)N reaction. The r...
Nuclear modification factor of D-0 mesons in PbPb collisions at root s(NN)=5.02 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2018-07-01)
The transverse momentum (p(T)) spectrum of prompt D-0 mesons and their antiparticles has been measured via the hadronic decay channels D-0 -> K- pi(+) and (D) over bar (0) -> K+ pi(-) in pp and PbPb collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV per nucleon pair with the CMS detector at the LHC. The measurement is performed in the D-0 meson p(T) range of 2-100GeV/c and in the rapidity range of vertical bar y vertical bar < 1. The pp (PbPb) dataset used for this analysis corresponds to an integrated lumin...

Nuclear dissipative dynamics in langevin approach
Tanrıverdi, Vedat; Gökalp, Ahmet; Department of Physics (2004)
In this thesis Langevin approach is applied to analyze the nuclear dissipative dynamics in fission and fusion reactions. In these investigations, the nuclear elongation coordinate and the corresponding momentum are chosen as collective variables. By considering changes in these variables the decay rate of fission and the formation probability of fusion for heavy ion reactions are calculated. These calculations are performed using simulation techniques and the results thus obtained are compared with the corr...
