Application of fuzzy expert decision-making system for rock slope block-toppling modeling and assessment: a case study
Azarafza, Mohammad; Asghari-Kaljahi, Ebrahim; Ghazifard, Akbar; Akgün, Haluk (2020-07-01)
The strategy applied in this study is fuzzy logic based decision-making system to achieve a rapid way to assess block-toppling failure instability in discontinuous rock slopes as justified by kinematic analysis that are applied to real cases. Referring to fuzzy logic based decision-making; the best option was selected from multiple fuzzy variables through performing a comparison and by obtaining the fastest solution for approximation. The expert system offers a capable fuzzy application for engineering judg...
Application of poor quality indicator model in an emergent software organization
Demirörs, Onur; Guceglioglu, AS (2001-09-06)
In this paper we describe a model called poor quality indicator model that is intended to be used to support traditional software process improvement initiation approaches. We also summarize the results of a case study tie performed in an emergent organization to demonstrate the applicability of this model.
Application of the bentix index in assessing ecological quality of hard substrata: a case study from the Bosphorus Strait, Turkey
KALKAN, E.; KARHAN, S.U.; MUTLU, E.; SIMBOURA, N.; BEKOLET, M. (National Documentation Centre (EKT), 2007-6-1)
In this paper, a biotic index (Bentix) has been used for the assessment of ecological quality status of shallow water hard substrate benthic ecosystems affected by coastal sewage discharges in the Bosphorus Strait. A significant difference was observed between the control and the discharge stations with regard to Bentix values (Mann-Whitney U Test, p=0.002) and ecological quality status of the discharge stations was worse than that of controls. The index values revealed that sewage discharges caused ser...
