We study the possibility of detecting non-commutative QED through neutral Higgs boson pair production at a gammagamma collider. This is based on the assumption that H-0 interacts directly with the photon as suggested by symmetry considerations. The sensitivity of the cross-section to the non-commutative scale Lambda(NC) and the Higgs mass is investigated.

Constraints on nonstandard intermediate boson exchange models from neutrino-electron scattering
Sevda, B.; Sen, A.; DEMİRCİ, MEHMET; DENİZ, MUHAMMED; Agartioglu, M.; Ajjaq, A.; KERMAN, SAİME; Singh, L.; Sonay, A.; Wong, H. T.; Zeyrek, Mehmet Tevfik (2017-08-21)
Constraints on couplings of several beyond-Standard-Model-physics scenarios, mediated by massive intermediate particles including ( 1) an extra Z-prime, ( 2) a new light spin-1 boson, and ( 3) a charged Higgs boson, are placed via the neutrino-electron scattering channel to test the Standard Model at a low energy-momentum transfer regime. Data on (nu) over bar (e) - e and nu(e) - e scattering from the TEXONO and LSND, respectively, are used. Upper bounds to coupling constants of the flavor-conserving and fl...
Born-Infeld gravity with a unique vacuum and a massless graviton
Gullu, Ibrahim; Sisman, Tahsin Cagri; Tekin, Bayram (2015-11-04)
We construct an n-dimensional Born-Infeld-type gravity theory that has the same properties as Einstein's gravity in terms of the vacuum and particle content: Namely, the theory has a unique viable vacuum (maximally symmetric solution) and a single massless unitary spin-2 graviton about this vacuum. The Born-Infeld gravity, in some sense, is the most natural, minimal generalization of Einstein's gravity with a better UV behavior and hence is a potentially less singular theory at small distances. The Gauss-Bo...
Phase transition in compact QED3 and the Josephson junction
Onemli, VK; Tas, M; Tekin, Bayram (2001-08-01)
We study the finite temperature phase transition in 2+1 dimensional compact QED and its dual theory: Josephson junction. Duality of these theories at zero temperature was established long time ago in [1]. Phase transition in compact QED is well studied thus we employ the 'duality' to study the superconductivity phase transition in a Josephson junction. For a thick junction we obtain a critical temperature in terms of the geometrical properties of the junction.
Search for Higgs boson off-shell production in proton-proton collisions at 7 and 8 TeV and derivation of constraints on its total decay width
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2016-09-01)
A search is presented for the Higgs boson off-shell production in gluon fusion and vector boson fusion processes with the Higgs boson decaying into a W+ W- pair and the W bosons decaying leptonically. The data observed in this analysis are used to constrain the Higgs boson total decay width. The analysis is based on the data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 4.9 fb(-1) at a centre-of-mass energy of 7TeV and 19.4 fb(-1) at 8TeV, respectively. An observed ...
Electron performance measurements with the ATLAS detector using the 2010 LHC proton-proton collision data
Aad, G.; et. al. (2012-03-01)
Detailed measurements of the electron performance of the ATLAS detector at the LHC are reported, using decays of the Z, W and J/psi particles. Data collected in 2010 at root s = 7 TeV are used, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of almost 40 pb(-1). The inter-alignment of the inner detector and the electromagnetic calorimeter, the determination of the electron energy scale and resolution, and the performance in terms of response uniformity and linearity are discussed. The electron identification, rec...
