With recent technological developments in electronic warfare systems, there is an increase in the usage of data which should be transmitted. Due to the insufficiency in the system throughput, some problems such as latency or data loss may be seen. As a solution for these problems, data compression is offered. As one of the data which should be carried, spectrum can also be compressed. In this study, an algorithm for spectrum compression is offered. Moreover, real spectrum data are examined by comparing the efficiencies for each different variable.

Linearization of RF power amplifiers with memoryless baseband predistortion method
Kolcuoğlu, Turusan; Demir, Şimşek; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2011)
In modern wireless communication systems, advanced modulation techniques are used to support more users by handling high data rates and to increase the utilization efficiency of the limited RF spectrum. These techniques are sensitive to the nonlinear distortions due to their high peak to average power ratios. Main source of nonlinear distortion in transmitter topologies are power amplifiers that determine the overall efficiency and linearity of the transmitter. To increase linearity without sacrificing effi...
True-time delay structures for microwave beamforming networks in S-band phased arrays
Temir, Kaan; Demir, Şimşek; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2013)
True time delay networks are one of the most critical structures of wideband phased-array antenna systems which are frequently used in self-protection and electronic warfare applications. In order to direct the main beam of a wideband phased-array antenna to the desired direction; phase values, which are linearly dependent to frequency, are essential. Due to the phase characteristics of the true-time delay networks, beam squint problems for broadband phased array systems are minimized. In this thesis, diffe...
Spatial dynamics of producer services in Ankara
Gökce, Buğra; Günay, Baykan; Department of City and Regional Planning (2008)
In the last three decades, depending on advances in communication technologies, there is a popular discussion that urban functions can be located independent from space. In other words, each urban function can locate to any zones of a city due to communication technology-based connections, in a so called “deterritorialization”. These new sprawl-based locations can be seen in the central business districts (CBD) of cities, especially by producer service functions. This thesis will investigate the validity of...
Reasons For Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) Service's (In)ability to Diffuse: An Analysis of Actors in tie World and Turkey
Çalışır, İbrahim (2016-03-01)
Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) system, which emerged from the developments in the telecommunications and television technology and the convergence of these, is anticipated as a technology of the future. The fact that many technologies of the past presented as the future of technology passed into the dusty pages of history created suspicion towards IPTV system. Firstly, within the framework of these questions, the structure of IPTV system is defined and its comparison to the other publishing systems is ...
Optimization of electricity markets in the price based and security constrained unit commitment problems frameworks
Şahin, Cem; Erkmen, İsmet; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2010)
Operation of the electricity markets is subject to a number of strict and specific constraints such as continuous load-generation balance, security of supply, and generation technology related limitations. Contributions have been made to two important problems of the Electricity Markets, in the context of this study. In this study, Price Based Unit Commitment problem in the literature, which is a tool for the GENCO for operations planning, is extended considering the interdependencies between the Natural Ga...
