Neutrino Interactions Analysis With An Automatic Scanning System İn The Opera Experiment.

2011-12-31
Bolumumuze kurmakta oldugumuz bilgisayar kontrollu tam otomatik tarama sisteminden elde edilecek verileri analiz etmek icin bir is istasyonu alinacaktir.

QUERY AGE OF INFORMATION IN COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
Ildız, Muhammed Emrullah; Uysal, Elif; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2002-8-22)
We study a pull-based status update communication model where a source node submits update packets to a channel with random transmission delay, at times requested by a remote destination node. The objective is to minimize the average query-age-of-information (QAoI), defined as the age of information (AoI) measured at query instants that occur at the destination side according to a stochastic arrival process. In reference to a push-based problem formulation defined in the literature where the source decides ...
Computational analysis of a solar vortex
Mohiuddin, Abdullah; Uzgören, Eray; Sustainable Environment and Energy Systems (2015-3)
This thesis investigates power generation opportunities by considering computational analysis of an experimental setup which is initially proposed to mimic dust devils in a controlled environment. The concept relies on buoyancy effect over a heated plate surrounded by vertical thin plates or vanes. Once the heated air starts rising, vertical vanes help surrounding air to flow inwards in a direction tangential to the vortex core to introduce swirl to the flow. Present study focuses on the computational fluid...
Stochastic analysis and adaptive control studies in legged systems
Er, Güner Dilşad; Ankaralı, Mustafa Mert; Saranlı, Uluç; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2022-6-7)
Underactuated legged robots depict highly nonlinear and complex dynamical behaviors that create significant challenges in accurately modeling system dynamics using both first principles and system identification approaches. Hence, the design of stabilizing controllers becomes more challenging due to inaccurate modeling. Suppose physical parameters on mathematical models have miscalibrations due to uncertainty in identifying and modeling processes. In that case, designed controllers could perform poorly or e...
Active vibration control of smart structures
Ülker, Demet Fatma; Yaman, Yavuz; Nalbantoğlu, Volkan; Department of Aerospace Engineering (2003)
The purpose of this thesis was to design controllers by using H^ and yn control strategies in order to suppress the free and forced vibrations of smart structures. The smart structures analyzed in this study were the smart beam and the smart fin. They were aluminum passive structures with surface bonded PZT (Lead-Zirconate-Titanate) patches. The structures were considered in clamped-free configuration. The first part of this study focused on the identification of nominal system models of the smart structure...
Virtual Space as a Public Sphere: Rethinking the Political and Professional Agenda of Spatial Planning and Design
Barlas, Mehmet Adnan; Çalışkan, Olgu (Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, 2006)
Even we have not been able to recognize its whole transformative effects within ten to fifteen years, relatively a short period of time for human civilization; communication systems (internet, wireless application protocols, teleconference systems etc.) and simulation technologies have radically shifted the conventional understanding of space concept. In the societies that succeeded to integrate technology into everyday life, sociospatial practices in relational terms are currently defining new platforms to...
