RADIAL PULSATIONS IN 63 HERCULIS
UYANIKER, B (1992-09-01)
Constructing a theoretical model of 1.88 M Q pulsation pro- perties of 63 Her have been analyzed. For the model, in question, pulsa- tion periods in the fundamental mode and first two overtones have been derived by solving the linearized pulsation equations. The model has been found to be vlbrationally stable
Radial vibrations in a 5 M⊙ double-shell burning hydrogen-helium star
Kırbıyık, Hayrettin (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1990-6)
A model of 5M ⊙ hydrogen-helium star with no metals has been considered. The properties of the adiabatic oscillations were obtained, and the vibrational instability of the model has been investigated. The model is a double-shell burning star. Calculations were done for the fundamental mode as well as the first and the second harmonics. The model has been found vibrationally unstable against radial adiabatic pulsations.
Kundt solutions of minimal massive 3D gravity
Deger, Nihat Sadik; Sarıoğlu, Bahtiyar Özgür (AMER PHYSICAL SOC, ONE PHYSICS ELLIPSE, COLLEGE PK, MD 20740-3844 USA, 2015-11-04)
We construct Kundt solutions of minimal massive gravity theory and show that, similar to topologically massive gravity (TMG), most of them are constant scalar invariant (CSI) spacetimes that correspond to deformations of round and warped (A) dS. We also find an explicit non-CSI Kundt solution at the merger point. Finally, we give their algebraic classification with respect to the traceless Ricci tensor (Segre classification) and show that their Segre types match with the types of their counterparts in TMG.

Magnetic activity and evolution of Algol-type stars
Sarna, MJ; Muslimov, A; Yerli, Sinan Kaan (Oxford University Press (OUP), 1997-03-21)
We examine the possibility of tracing dynamo action in mass-losing stars that are components of Algol-type binaries. Our analysis is based on the calculation of the non-conservative evolution of a system that initially consists of a 1.65-M. star with a small helium core and a 0.99-M. main-sequence companion. We perform our calculations for the evolutionary model of S Cnc in which a more massive companion fills its Roche lobe at the orbital period of the system P(orb)similar to 1.12 d. We show that to mainta...
