Constructing a theoretical model of 1.88 M Q pulsation pro- perties of 63 Her have been analyzed. For the model, in question, pulsa- tion periods in the fundamental mode and first two overtones have been derived by solving the linearized pulsation equations. The model has been found to be vlbrationally stable

Reconstructed density and velocity fields from the 2MASS Redshift Survey
Erdogdu, Pirin; Lahav, Ofer; Huchra, John P.; Colless, Matthew; Cutri, Roc M.; Falco, Emilio; George, Teddy; Jarrett, Thomas; Jones, D. Heath; Macri, Lucas M.; Mader, Jeff; Martimbeau, Nathalie; Pahre, Michael A.; Parker, Quentin A.; Rassat, Anaid; Saunders, Will (Oxford University Press (OUP), 2006-11-21)
W We present the reconstructed real-space density and the predicted velocity fields from the Two-Micron All-Sky Redshift Survey (2MRS). The 2MRS is the densest all-sky redshift survey to date and includes about 23 200 galaxies with extinction-corrected magnitudes brighter than K-s = 11.25. Our method is based on the expansion of these fields in Fourier-Bessel functions. Within this framework, the linear redshift distortions only affect the density field in the radial direction and can easily be deconvolved ...
SPONTANEOUS BREAKING OF LORENTZ SYMMETRY AND VERTEX OPERATORS FOR VORTICES
Balachandran, A. P.; Kürkcüoğlu, Seçkin; De Queiroz, A. R. (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2013-03-14)
We first review the spontaneous Lorentz symmetry breaking in the presence of mass-less gauge fields and infraparticles. This result was obtained long time ago in the context of rigorous quantum field theory (QFT) by Frohlich, Morchio and Strocchi [Ann. Phys. 119, 241 (1979); Phys. Lett. B 89, 61 (1979)] and reformulated by Balachandran and Vaidya (arXiv:1302.3406) using the notion of superselection sectors and directiondependent test functions at spatial infinity for gauge transformations. Inspired by these...
RXTE and Chandra observations of galactic microquasars GRO J1655-40 and GRS 1915+105
Bülbül, Gül Esra; Baykal, Altan; Department of Physics (2006)
In this thesis, RXTE timing analysis of Galactic Microquasars GRO J1655-40 and GRS 1915+105, the Chandra and RXTE joint spectral analysis of GRS 1915+105 are presented. We have investigated quasi periodic oscillations (QPOs) in the black hole binaries GRO J1655-40 and GRS 1915+105 observed in 99 and 122 observations made by the Proportional Counter Array (PCA) on board Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) in both low energy band (2-12 keV) and high energy band (13-27 keV), respectively. Four different X-ray s...
TAU-MU-E NONUNIVERSALITY AS INDICATION OF ORDINARY AND EXOTIC LEPTON MIXING
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; YILMAZ, O (1992-09-17)
Possible deviations from the tau-mu-e universality are discussed in the framework of the standard model with four families and in that of the E6 model. It is shown that the experimental study of spin asymmetry in the process e+e- --> Z --> tau+tau- will give direct information on the real tau-nonuniversality due to the mixing of the usual and exotic fermions.
Radial vibrations in a 5 M⊙ double-shell burning hydrogen-helium star
Kırbıyık, Hayrettin (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1990-6)
A model of 5M ⊙ hydrogen-helium star with no metals has been considered. The properties of the adiabatic oscillations were obtained, and the vibrational instability of the model has been investigated. The model is a double-shell burning star. Calculations were done for the fundamental mode as well as the first and the second harmonics. The model has been found vibrationally unstable against radial adiabatic pulsations.
