TAU-MU-E NONUNIVERSALITY AS INDICATION OF ORDINARY AND EXOTIC LEPTON MIXING

1992-09-17
Possible deviations from the tau-mu-e universality are discussed in the framework of the standard model with four families and in that of the E6 model. It is shown that the experimental study of spin asymmetry in the process e+e- --> Z --> tau+tau- will give direct information on the real tau-nonuniversality due to the mixing of the usual and exotic fermions.

LOOKING FOR E6 MODEL MANIFESTATIONS IN TAU-DECAYS
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; YILMAZ, O (1993-04-01)
Possible manifestations of the E6 model in tau decays are considered, and the difference between the standard model with four families and E6 model predictions are discussed. It is shown that the normalized energy spectrum of the charged final lepton in tau decays is an effective tool for establishing new physics predicted by the E6 model.
ELECTROMAGNETIC NEUTRONPROTON MASS DIFFERENCE IN THE SKYRME MODEL
EBRAHIM, A; Savcı, Mustafa (1987-05-07)
An allegedly complete calculation of the neutron-proton mass difference in the Skyrme model reported recently, claiming a correct sign and a 16% agreement with experiment, is re-examined. After analytical and numerical inaccuracies in the reportes calculation are eliminated, it gives a value for the mass difference which, both in magnitude and sign, is different from that reported, and is consistent with the expectation that the calculation merely represents the electromagnetic contribution to, and not a co...
ANNIHILATION CROSS SECTIONS AND INTERACTION COUPLINGS OF THE DARK MATTER CANDIDATES IN THE WARPED AND FLAT EXTRA DIMENSIONS
Iltan, E. O. (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2010-05-10)
We consider a scenario with an additional scalar standard model singlet phi(S), living in a single extra dimension of the RS1 background. The zero mode of this scalar which is localized in the extra dimension is a dark matter candidate and the annihilation cross section is strongly sensitive to its localization parameter. As a second scenario, we assume that the standard model Higgs field is accessible to the fifth flat extra dimension. At first we take the additional standard model singlet scalar field as ...
CORE POLARIZATION EFFECTS ON THE MAGNETIC FORM-FACTORS OF N-15 AND O-17
GOKALP, A; YILMAZ, O (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1992-05-01)
The effects of the first- and the second-order core polarization on the elastic magnetic form factors of N-15 and O-17 are investigated using the perturbation theory based on the harmonic-oscillator shell model, in which for the matrix elements of the two-nucleon interaction the Sussex matrix elements are employed. The core polarization reduces the single-particle value of M3 part of the form factor of O-17, however the reduction of the form factor of N-15 does not lead to an improved agreement with experim...
CP violation in the inclusive b -> sg decay in the framework of multi-Higgs-doublet models
Goksu, A; Iltan, EO; Solmaz, L (American Physical Society (APS), 2001-09-01)
We study the decay width and CP asymmetry of the inclusive process b-->sg (g denotes gluon) in the multi-Higgs-doublet models with complex Yukawa couplings, including next to leading QCD corrections. We analyze the dependences of the decay width and CP asymmetry on the scale mu and CP-violating parameter theta. We observe that there exists an enhancement in the decay width and CP asymmetry is at the order of 10(-2).
