Different approaches to the Einstein energy associated with the de Sitter C-space-time

Salti, M
The paper is purposed to elaborate the problem of gravitational energy localization in de Sitter(dS) C-space-time (the C space-time in a background with a cosmological constant Lambda). In this connection, using the energy-momentum definition of Einstein, we find the same energy in both general relativity and tele-parallel gravity.

Different approaches for Moller's energy in the Kasner-type spacetime
Salti, M (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2005-09-14)
Considering the Moller energy definition in both Einstein's theory of general relativity and tele-parallel theory of gravity, we find the energy of the universe based on viscous Kasner-type metrics. The energy distribution which includes both the matter and gravitational field is found to be zero in both of these different gravitation theories and this result agrees with previous works of Cooperstock and Israelit et al., Banerjee-Sen, Vargas who investigated the problem of the energy in Friedmann-Robertson-...
Energy in Reboucas-Tiomno-Korotkii-Obukhov and Godel-type space-times in Bergmann-Thomson's formulations
Aydogdu, O; Salti, M; Korunur, M (2005-12-01)
We calculate the total energy (the matter plus fields) of the universe considering Bergmann-Thomson's energy-momentum formulation in both Einstein's theory of general relativity and tele-parallel gravity on two different space-times; namely Reboucas-Tiomno-Korotkii-Obukhov and the Godel-type metrics. We also compute some kinematical quantities for these space-times and find that these space-times have shear-free expansion and non-vanishing four-acceleration and vorticity. Different approximations of the Ber...
An open singularity-free cosmological model with inflation
Karaca, K; Bayin, S (2002-11-20)
In the light of recent observations which point to an open universe (Omega(0) < 1), we construct an open singularity-free cosmological model by reconsidering a model originally constructed for a closed universe. Our model starts from a nonsingular state called prematter, governed by an inflationary equation of state P = (gamma(p) - 1)rho where gamma(p) (similar or equal to10(-3)) is a small positive parameter representing the initial vacuum dominance of the universe. Unlike the closed models universe cannot...
Gravitating instantons in 3 dimensions
Ferstl, A; Tekin, Bayram; Weir, V (2000-09-15)
We study the Einstein-Chern-Simons gravity coupled to Yang-Mills-Higgs theory in three-dimensional Euclidean space with a cosmological constant. The classical equations reduce to Bogomol'nyi type first order equations in curved space. There are BPS type gauge theory instanton (monopole) solutions of finite action in a gravitational instanton which itself has a finite action. We also discuss gauge theory instantons in the vacuum (zero action) AdS space. In addition we point out to some exact solutions which ...
Minimal extension of Einstein’s gravity at the quartic order
Kenar, Esin; Tekin, Bayram; Department of Physics (2018)
We study an extension of Einstein general relativity theory at the quartic order in the curvature. The extended theory has a unique vacuum and a single massless spin-2 excitation about this vacuum, just like general relativity, hence it is called a minimal extension. The extended theory can also be obtained from a particular form of Born-Infeld gravity. We show that the Schwarzschild and Kerr black holes are not exact solutions and the Kretschmann scalar obeys a non-linear wave equation, suggesting that bla...
