Unparticle effects in rare t -> cgg decay
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (American Physical Society (APS), 2008-09-01)
In this work the flavor-changing, rare t -> cgg decay induced by mediation of scalar and tensor unparticles is studied. Using the standard model result for the branching ratio of the t -> cgg decay, the parameter space of d(U) and Lambda(U), where the branching ratio of this decay exceeds the one predicted by the standard model, is obtained. Measurement of the branching ratio larger than 10(-9) can give valuable information for establishing unparticle physics.
Unparticle physics in top pair signals at the LHC and ILC
ALAN, AHMET TURAN; Pak, N. K. (IOP Publishing, 2008-10-01)
We study the effects of unparticle physics in the pair productions of top quarks at the LHC and ILC. By considering vector, tensor and scalar unparticle operators, as appropriate, we compute the total cross-sections for pair production processes depending on the scale dimension d(U). We find that the existence of unparticles would lead to measurable enhancements on the SM predictions at the LHC. In the case of ILC this may become two orders of magnitude larger than that of SM, for smaller values of d(U), a ...
Unparticle physics in single top signals
ALAN, AHMET TURAN; Pak, N. K.; ŞENOL, ABDULKADİR (IOP Publishing, 2008-01-01)
We study the single production of top quarks in e(+)e(-), ep and pp collisions in the context of unparticle physics through the Flavor Violating (FV) unparticle vertices and compute the total cross-sections for single top production as functions of scale dimension d(u). We find that among all, LHC is the most promising facility to probe the unparticle physics via single top quark production processes. Copyright (C) EPLA, 2008.
Unparticle physics effects in Lambda(b)->Lambda plus missing energy processes
Alıyev, Tahmasıb (Elsevier BV, 2008-04-17)
We study unparticle physics effects in Lambda(b) --> Lambda + missing energy decay with polarized Lambda(b) and Lambda baryons. The sensitivity of the branching ratio of this decay and polarizations of Lambda(b) and Lambda baryons on the scale dimension d(U) and effective cut-off parameter Lambda(U) are discussed.
Unparticle effects on top quark rare decays
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; OZANSOY, KORKUT OKAN (Elsevier BV, 2009-01-05)
In this work we study the flavor changing neutral current (FCNC) decays of the top quark, t -> c gamma and t -> cg, in the framework of the unparticle physics. The Standard Model predictions for the branching ratios of these decays are about similar to 5 x 10(-14), and similar to 1 x 10(-12), respectively. The parameter space of lambda, Lambda, and d is obtained by taking into account the SM predictions and the results of the simulation performed by the ATLAS Collaboration for the branching ratios of t -> c...
