We study the single production of top quarks in e(+)e(-), ep and pp collisions in the context of unparticle physics through the Flavor Violating (FV) unparticle vertices and compute the total cross-sections for single top production as functions of scale dimension d(u). We find that among all, LHC is the most promising facility to probe the unparticle physics via single top quark production processes. Copyright (C) EPLA, 2008.

Unparticle physics in top pair signals at the LHC and ILC
ALAN, AHMET TURAN; Pak, N. K. (IOP Publishing, 2008-10-01)
We study the effects of unparticle physics in the pair productions of top quarks at the LHC and ILC. By considering vector, tensor and scalar unparticle operators, as appropriate, we compute the total cross-sections for pair production processes depending on the scale dimension d(U). We find that the existence of unparticles would lead to measurable enhancements on the SM predictions at the LHC. In the case of ILC this may become two orders of magnitude larger than that of SM, for smaller values of d(U), a ...
Density functional theory investigation of two-dimensional dipolar fermions in a harmonic trap
Toffoli, Hande; TANATAR, BİLAL (2014-08-13)
We investigate the behavior of polarized dipolar fermions in a two-dimensional harmonic trap in the framework of the density functional theory (DFT) formalism using the local density approximation. We treat only a few particles interacting moderately. Important results were deduced concerning key characteristics of the system such as total energy and particle density. Our results indicate that, at variance with Coulombic systems, the exchangecorrelation component was found to provide a large contribution to...
Conserved charges in extended theories of gravity
Adami, Hamed; Setare, Mohammad Reza; Sisman, Tahsin Cagri; Tekin, Bayram (Elsevier BV, 2019-11-20)
We give a detailed review of construction of conserved quantities in extended theories of gravity for asymptotically maximally symmetric spacetimes and carry out explicit computations for various solutions. Our construction is based on the Killing charge method, and a proper discussion of the conserved charges of extended gravity theories with this method requires studying the corresponding charges in Einstein's theory with or without a cosmological constant. Hence we study the ADM charges (in the asymptoti...
THE NEUTRAL HEAVY SCALAR PRODUCTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH Z(L) IN THE LITTLEST HIGGS MODEL AT ILC AND CLIC
Cagil, A.; Zeyrek, Mehmet Tevfik (Jagiellonian University, 2011-01-01)
In this work, the production processes of heavy neutral scalar and pseudoscalar associated with standard model gauge boson Z(L) at future e(+)e(-) colliders (ILC and CLIC) are examined. The total and differential cross-sections are calculated for the processes in the context of the littlest Higgs model. Dependence of production processes to littlest Higgs model parameters in the range of compatibility with electroweak precision measurements and decays to lepton-flavor violating final states are also analyze...
Dirichlet extremum problem associated with the asymmetric grain-boundary thermal grooving under the Dirac delta-type anisotropic surface stiffness in bicrystal thin solid films
Ogurtani, Tarik Omer (AIP Publishing, 2007-09-15)
A generalized Rayleigh-Ritz (RR) method combined with the Galerkin (RRG) functional space approximation is elaborated by using the extended and modified Laguerre functions manifold for the weak solution of the asymmetric grain-boundary thermal grooving problem with the Dirichlet boundary. This new hybrid RRG approach, which resembles the front-tracking method, reveals the fine features of the grain boundary groove-root topography (rough or faceted regions) more accurately than the previous approach under th...
