Plasmonic light-management interfaces by polyol-synthesized silver nanoparticles for industrial scale silicon solar cells
Birant, Gizem; Öztürk, İbrahim Murat; Doğanay, Doğa; Ünalan, Hüsnü Emrah; Bek, Alpan (2020-01-01)
© 2020 American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.Plasmonic interfaces are used as an alternative and highly effective light management technique for solar cells. Topdown approaches produce well-ordered and carefully designed plasmonic structures for tailor-made light management; however, they are costly, and their fabrication is time-consuming. Thus, their utilization for industrial-scale solar cells is not trivial. It has been shown that dewetting is a cost- and time-effective bottom-up approach for t...
Plasmonic resonances in sub-terahertz fishnet metamaterial based on complementary hexagonal resonator
Yuksek, Yahya; Demir, S. Mahircan; Sabah, Cumali (Elsevier BV, 2019-01-01)
Exploration of the perfect combination between metamaterials (MTMs) and plasmonics has paved the way of the new innovations in electromagnetic and communication engineering, especially in sub-THz spectroscopy. In order to contribute to such developments, plasmonic resonances in sub-THz fishnet MTM on the basis of complementary hexagonal resonator structure is investigated in this paper. The design, in which method of removing hexagonal structure is applied, has been performed based on finite simulation tech...
Plasmonic Enhancement for the Performance ofp CdTe n Si Heterojunction Diode

Plasmonic metal-insulator-metal structures for interaction with erbium in amorphous silicon nitride
Gong, Yiyang; Yerci, Selçuk; Negro, Luca Dal; Vučković, Jelena (2009-01-01)
We propose to use plasmonic modes in periodically patterned metal-insulator-metal structures to enhance emission from Erbium doped Silicon Nitride. Enhancement of emission up to a factor of 2.3 is experimentally demonstrated.
