Pulsed optically stimulated luminescence from α-Al2O3:C using green light emitting diodes
Bulur, Enver (1997-01-01)
Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) from alpha-Al2O3:C was investigated using green light emitting diodes (LED) for excitation. Time resolved luminescence characteristics of the samples were studied by pulsing the LEDs during the readout. The effects of excitation light intensity, pulse width and readout temperature on the OSL signal were investigated. The radiation dose response of the dosimeters with above mentioned parameters was also evaluated for the applicability to radiation dosimetry.

Pulsed FMCW waveform design for LPI radars based on stretch processing
Hizal, Altunkan; Demir, Şimşek (2012-12-01)
An FMCW radar waveform design based on stretch procesing is described. Transmit (TX) and Receive (RX) functions are separated in time. A single antenna with no isolation problems can be used. A rigorous analysis of coherent processing is presented. Advantages and disadvantages are discussed. Compared to Pulsed Doppler Radar (PDR) this waveform has significant LPI properties. A generic design example is also given.
Transient simulation of reacting radiating flows
Uygur, A. Bilge; Tarhan, Tanil; Selçuk, Nevin (2006-10-01)
Laminar methane-air diffusion flame was simulated by coupling a method of lines based parallel direct numerical simulation code with a radiation code based on method of lines solution of discrete ordinates method. The predictions of the code are validated against experimental data as well as numerical results of the same code without radiation model. Comparisons show that incorporation of radiation code to the computational fluid dynamics code results in a significant improvement in the predicted temperatur...
