Stabilized FEM Solution of 2D Steady Slow Viscous MHD Flow of an Unbounded Conducting Liquid About Solid Particles
Tezer, Münevver; Sellier, Antonie (2016-06-20)
Oriented assembly and nanofabrication of zeolite A monolayers
Öztürk, Seçkin; Akata Kurç, Burcu (2009-12-01)
A facile and efficient method in order to assemble zeolites for the purpose of generating zeolite nano-micropatterns on the Si wafer was investigated by using e-beam lithography. A monolayer of organized. fully covered and strongly bound zeolite A nanocrystals were formed on the Si wafer substrates without using any chemical linkers. The limits of forming nano sized zeolite A patterns on the Si wafer was tested and it was observed that zeolite A nanocrystals could be assembled on the Si wafers with high pre...
Balanced Intersystem Crossing in Iodinated Silicon-Fluoresceins Allows New Class of Red Shifted Theranostic Agents
Cetin, Sultan; Elmazoglu, Zubeyir; Karaman, Osman; Gunduz, Hande; Günbaş, Emrullah Görkem; Kolemen, Safacan (2021-01-01)
Iodination of the silicon-fluorescein core revealed a new class of highly cytotoxic, red-shifted and water-soluble photosensitizer (SF-I) which is also fairly emissive to serve as a theranostic agent. Singlet oxygen generation capacity of SF-I was evaluated chemically, and up to 45% singlet oxygen quantum yield was reported in aqueous solutions. SF-I was further tested in triple negative breast (MDA MB-231) and colon (HCT-116) cancer cell lines, which are known to have limited chemotherapy options as well a...
Balanced Path Generation and Reliability Extension for In-band Network Telemetry
ŞİMŞEK, GÖKSEL; Onur, Ertan; Alemdar, Hande; Department of Computer Engineering (2021-5)
Network monitoring is one of the key aspects to ensure communication reliability in case of failures and malicious activities and has several design issues depending on the system characteristics. As traditional monitoring solutions usually rely on periodic updates between the network controller and ordinary nodes, scalability re- mains a challenge, especially for large-scale systems. A recent solution, the In-Band Network Telemetry (INT) framework, allows data packets to probe the nodes while traversing th...
Linear Separability Analysis for Stacked Generalization Architecture
Ozay, Mete; Vural, Fatos T. Yarman (2009-04-11)
Stacked Generalization algorithm aims to increase the individual classification performances of the classifiers by combining the information obtained from various classifiers in a multilayer architecture by either linear or nonlinear techniques. Performance of the algorithm varies depending on the application domains and the space analyses that affect the classification performances could riot be applied successfully.
