SYNTHESIS AND STEREOCHEMISTRY OF PENTACARBONYL(PHOSPHOLE)METAL(0) AND TETRACARBONYLBIS(PHOSPHOLE)METAL(0) COMPLEXES OF 6B ELEMENTS
OZER, Z; Özkar, Saim (Informa UK Limited, 1992-01-01)
Pentacarbonylphospholemetal(0) and cis-tetracarbonylbis(phosphole)metal(0) complexes were synthesized from the thermal reaction of M(CO)5(THF) and M(CO)4(COD) (M: Cr, Mo, W) with corresponding phosphole (1-phenyl-3,4-dimethylphosphole, 1-phenyl-3-methylphosphole, and 1-phenylphosphole). These complexes were isolated as orange crystals by column chromatography on silicagel at 253 K and crystallization from n-hexane at 223 K and characterized by means of IR and NMR (H-1, C-13, and P-31). Spectroscopic data sh...
Synthesis and electrochemistry of Group 6 tetracarbonyl (N,N '-bis(ferrocenylmethylene)ethylenediamine)metal(0) complexes
Kocak, F. Sanem; Kavakli, Cuneyt; Akyol, Ceyhun; Önal, Ahmet Muhtar; Özkar, Saim (Elsevier BV, 2006-11-15)
Thermal substitution reaction of Cr(CO)4(η2:2-1,5-cyclooctadiene), Mo(CO)4(η2:2-norbornadiene), and W(CO)5(η2-bis(trimethylsilyl)ethyne) with N,N′-bis(ferrocenylmethylene)ethylenediamine (bfeda) yields M(CO)4(bfeda) complexes which could be isolated from the reaction solution and characterized by elemental analysis, MS, IR, and NMR spectroscopy. In the case of tungsten, W(CO)5(bfeda) is formed as intermediate and then undergoes the ring closure reaction yielding the ultimate product W(CO)4(bfeda). The elect...
Synthesis and characterization of conducting copolymers of menthyl ester of 3-thiophene acetic acid with pyrrole
Kiralp, S; Alkan, S; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Cianga, I; Yagci, Y (2003-01-01)
A new thiophene derivative containing menthyl group (MM) was synthesized and polymerized via chemical and electrochemical (constant current) methods. Polymers obtained and MM itself were used to synthesize copolymers with pyrrole under conditions of constant potential electrolyses. Cyclic voltammetry (CV), thermal analysis (DSC, TGA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyses were performed for the characterization of samples.
Synthesis and characterization of conducting copolymers of thiophene-3-yl acetic acid cholesteryl ester with pyrrole
Çırpan, Ali; Toppare, Levent Kamil; YAGCI, Y (2002-05-01)
A new polythiophene containing a cholesteryl side chain in the beta-position was chemically polymerised in nitromethane/carbontetrachloride using FeCl3 as the oxidizing agent. Polymerisation was also achieved by constant current electrolysis in dichloromethane. Subsequently, conducting copolymers of thiophene-3-yl acetic acid cholesteryl ester (CM), PCM1 (obtained from chemical polymerisation method) and PCM4 (obtained from constant current electrolysis) with pyrrole were synthesized using p-toluene sulfoni...
Synthesis and Spectroscopic Study of Pentacarbonyl(η2-tetracyanoethylene) Metal(0) Complexes of the Group 6B Elements
Mour, Ïzzet A.; Özkar, Saim (1994-05-01)
Pentacarbonyl (n2-tetracyanoethylene) metal(O) com plexes o f chrom ium , m olybdenum and tung sten have b een synthesized by the photochem ical reaction o f hexacarbonyl metal(O) with te tra cyanoethylene in tolu en e at room tem perature. TTie com plexes w ere purified by chrom atography and recrystallization, and characterized by UV- visible, IR and 13C N M R spectroscopy. T etra cyanoethylene is sym m etrically bonded to the M (C O )5 unit through its c a rb o n -c a rb o n double bond as an ^ 2-ligand....
