N-structure based on InAs/AlSb/GaSb superlattice photodetectors
HOŞTUT, MUSTAFA; ALYÖRÜK, MUSTAFA MENDERES; TANSEL, TUNAY; KILIÇ, ALİ YAVUZ; Turan, Raşit; AYDINLI, ATİLLA; ERGÜN, YÜKSEL (Elsevier BV, 2015-03-01)
We have studied the theoretical and experimental properties of InAs/AlSb/GaSb based type-II superlattice (T2SL) pin photodetector called N-structure. Electronic properties of the superlattice such as HH-LH splitting energies was investigated using first principles calculations taking into account InSb and AlAs as possible interface transition alloys between AlSb/InAs layers and individual layer thicknesses of GaSb and InAs. T2SL N-structure was optimized to operate as a MWIR detector based on these theoreti...
N-Propargylic β-enaminones in breast cancer cells: Cytotoxicity, apoptosis, and cell cycle analyses
Ilhan, Suleyman; Atmaca, Harika; Yılmaz, Elif Serel; YILDIZ, ESRA; Zora, Metin (2023-01-01)
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide and the discovery of new cytotoxic agents is needed. Enaminones are regarded to be a significant structural motif that is found in a variety of pharmacologically active compounds however the number of studies investigating the anticancer activities of N-propargylic β-enaminones (NPEs) is limited. Herein we investigated the potential cytotoxic and apoptotic effects of 23 different NPEs (1-23) on human breast cancer cells. Cytotoxicity was evaluated vi...
N-Halamine-coated cotton for antimicrobial and detoxification applications
Ren, Xuehong; Akdağ, Akın; Kocer, Hasan B.; Worley, S. D.; Broughton, R. M.; Huang, T. S. (2009-09-01)
A new N-halamine precursor, 3-(2,3-dihydroxypropyl)-7,7,9,9-tetramethyl- 1,3,8-triazaspiro[4.5]decane-2,4-dione (TTDD diol), was synthesized and bonded onto cotton fabrics. Fabrics with variable amounts of chlorine loading were prepared by using several concentrations of TTDD diol. A second N-halamine precursor, 3-(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)-7,7,9,9-tetramethyl-1,3,8-triazaspiro[4.5]decane-2,4-dione (TTDD siloxane), was also synthesized and bound to cotton for comparison purposes. The coated cotton fabrics con...

N*(1535) -> N transition form-factors due to the axial current
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Simsek, K. (American Physical Society (APS), 2019-09-24)
The form-factors for the transition N* (1535) -> N induced by isovector and isoscalar axial currents within the framework of light cone QCD sum rules by using the most general form of the interpolating current are calculated. In numerical calculations, we use two sets of values of input parameters. It is observed that the Q(2) dependence of the form-factor G(A) can be described by the dipole form. Moreover, the form-factors G(p)((S)) are found to be highly sensitive to the variations in the auxiliary parame...
