Study on Q-RAM and Feasible Directions Based Methods for Resource Management in Phased Array Radar Systems
Irci, Ayhan; Saranlı, Afşar; Baykal, Buyurman (2010-10-01)
Our recent progress and results on optimal real-time resource allocation in phased array radar systems are reported. A previously proposed discrete resource allocation approach, the Quality of Service based Resource Allocation Model (Q-RAM), is analyzed and is observed to generate nonoptimal results. We identify the shortcomings of this method and first extend it using the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) optimality conditions for the single resource type case. We obtain an algorithm that delivers a globally optima...
Experimental Investigation of Aerodynamics of Flapping-Wing Micro-Air-Vehicle by Force and Flow-Field Measurements
Deng, Shuanghou; Perçin, Mustafa; van Oudheusden, Bas (2016-02-01)
This study explores the aerodynamic characteristics of a flapping-wing micro aerial vehicle (MAV) in hovering configuration by means of force and flowfield measurements. The effects of flapping frequency and wing geometry on force generation were examined using a miniature six-component force sensor. Additional high-speed imaging allowed identification of the notable different deformation characteristics of the flexible wings under vacuum condition in comparison to their behavior in air, illustrating the re...
Studies on non-weakly regular bent functions and related structures
Pelen, Rumi Melih; Özbudak, Ferruh; Department of Mathematics (2020)
Interest in bent functions over finite fields arises both from mathematical theory and practical applications. There has been lots of literature addressing various properties of bent functions. They have a number of applications consisting of coding theory, cryptography, and sequence designs. They’re divided into four subclasses: regular bent functions that are contained within the class of weakly regular bent functions that are contained within the class of dual-bent functions. Additionally, there are non-...
