Non-isothermal kinetic analysis and feasibilty study of medium grade crude oil field
Kök, Mustafa Verşan (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2008-03-01)
In this research, non-isothermal kinetics and feasibility study of medium grade crude oil is studied in the presence of a limestone matrix. Experiments were performed at a heating rate of 10 degrees C min(-1), whereas the air flow rate was kept constant at 50 mL min(-1) in the temperature range of 20 to 600 degrees C (DSC) and 20 to 900 degrees C (TG). In combustion with air, three distinct reaction regions were identified in all crude oil/limestone mixtures, known as low temperature oxidation (LTO), fuel d...
Non-linear dynamic analysis of space truss structures.

Non-isothermal pyrolysis and kinetics of oil shales
Kök, Mustafa Verşan (1999-01-01)
In this research, non-isothermal pyrolysis behavior and kinetics of three oil shales were studied by thermal analysis methods. All the thermal effects were endothermic and no exothermic region was observed in DSC curves. When oil shales are heated in nitrogen atmosphere in TG/DTG, two different mechanisms causing loss of mass were observed. The region between ambient temperature and 500 K was distillation. The second mechanism was visbreaking and cracking and it was observed between the region 500 and 800 K...
Non-invasive acoustic detection of vascular diseases from skin surface using computational techniques with fluid-structure interaction
Salman, Hüseyin Enes; Yazıcıoğlu, Yiğit; Ciğeroğlu, Ender; Department of Mechanical Engineering (2018)
Atherosclerosis is a cardiovascular disease in which arterial occlusion adversely affects blood circulation. Because of the narrowing of the artery, the blood flow is disturbed and a recirculating flow occurs at the downstream of the stenosis exit. The dynamic pressure fluctuations on the inner arterial wall cause the blood vessel wall to vibrate and the resulting acoustic energy propagates through the surrounding soft tissue and reaches the skin surface. To understand the problem in more detail, computatio...
