Prof. Dr. Ali Uzay Peker graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Art History in 1985. He received his master's degree from Bosphorus University in 1989 and his doctorate degree from Istanbul Technical University in 1996. Peker’s doctoral thesis title is “A Study of Meaning in Anatolian Seljuk Monumental Architecture Based on Cosmology”. Peker, who was a professor of History of Architecture at METU in 2011, served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Architecture between 2007 and 2012. Peker, who has made many publications in his field, continues to teach at METU Faculty of Architecture.
