Prof. Dr. Özcebe has served as a facilitator, researcher and consultant in NATO Scientific Program for Peace and Security, European Union Framework Programs and many scientific projects supported by TUBITAK. His research interests include reinforced concrete structures, behaviors of structures under earthquake motions, and earthquake-resistant design. His research in the last 10 years has focused on the determination of earthquake safety of existing reinforced concrete structures and strengthening of reinforced concrete structures with insufficient earthquake safety. He has made available more than 100 scientific artifacts to the engineering community, including the results of their research to date. Professor Dr. Özcebe is a supreme board member of the preparation committee of the regulation named TSE500: Construction and Account Rules of Reinforced Concrete Buildings.
