Born on February 4, 1944, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Özay completed his undergraduate studies at METU Electrical Engineering Department in 1967. Özay, who received his master's degree from the same department in 1968, received his Ph.D. from the Electrical University of Manchester, England in 1971. received his degree. Prof. Dr. Nevzat Özay; Many organizations and institutions such as Turkish Electricity Authority, TÜBİTAK Ankara Electronics Research and Development Institute, Development Institute, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Ankara Cement Factory, TÜDEMSAŞ, ROKETSAN, TCDD, İş-Bank towers, Vakıflar Bank data processing center and Central Bank electrical systems improvement. served as a consultant in the project. Prof. also has a patented product called “Distribution Automation System”. Dr. Nevzat Özay was a respected and well-known electrical instructor who contributed to the education of many experts in the sector.
