Functionalisation of indene
Tutar, Ahmet; Cakmak, Osman; Balcı, Metin (2006-08-01)
Dibromo- and tribromoindane were synthesised by bromination of indene. Treatment of dibromo- and tribromoindane with various silver salts (silver acetate, perchlorate, sulfate and nitrate) in different solvents opened up an entry to the synthesis of various di- and tri-substituted indane derivatives.
Fungi mediated enantioselective biohydrogenation of benzils to benzoins
Demirtaş, Umut; Demir, Ayhan Sıtkı; Department of Biotechnology (2008)
Benzoin is an important a-hydroxy ketone which can be used as chiral intermediate for the synthesis of several drugs. In this study, it was aimed to synthesize this compound by high stereoslectivity and yield by the use of fungal bioconversions. For this purpose, whole cells of four different Fusarium spp. (F. anguoides, F. roseum, F. solanii, F.bulbigenum) were used for reduction of readily available achiral compound benzil. The reaction conditions were optimized as glucose peptone broth consisting of 30g/...
Fusion based resolution enhancement in hyperspectral images Hiperspektral Görüntulerde Kaynaştirma Temelli Çözünürlük Artirimi
IRMAK, Hasan; Akar, Gözde; Yuksel, Seniha Esen (2017-05-18)
Increasing the low spatial resolution of hyperspectcal images (HSIs) improves the performance of applications in which the HSIs are used. In this study, a fusion based method is proposed to increase the resolution of IISIs. In the proposed method, low resolution (LR) HSI is fused with the high resolution (HR) RGB image to obtain the HR HSI. In this approach, instead of using the spectral images as in the conventional methods, RGB image is used with the abundance maps of the HSI estimated from the linear unm...
Deletion mutagenesis of fusarium graminearum nrrl 2903 galactose oxidase in escherichia coli to study structure-function relations and for prospective biosensor applications
Kocuklu, Burçak; Ögel, Zümrüt Begüm; Bölükbaşı, Ufuk; Department of Biotechnology (2013)
Galactose oxidase (GAO; EC 1.1.3.9) from Fusarium graminearum; is a 68kDa, monomeric extracellular enzyme having an unusual thioether bond with a single copper ion at its active site. The enzyme is produced as a precursor with a 25 amino-acid leader peptide, consisting of a 17-amino acid pro- and an 8-amino acid putative pre-peptide, in addition to a signal peptide. Based on previous studies, the 17-amino acid pro-peptide is removed autocatalytically by the aerobic addition of Cu2+ to the precursor in vitro...
