The purpose of this study was to investigate the current state of the mathematics education community in Turkey with respect to research studies and staff The sampk of the study included six universities in different parts of Turkey. Two questionnaires developed by the researchers were used in the study. According to the findings of this research, although the number of researchers in mathematics education is not sufficient, there is an increase in their numbers in the last few years
