LM-OSL signals from some insulators: An analysis of the dependency of the detrapping probability on stimulation light intensity
Bulur, Enver; Murray, A.S. (2001-01-01)
Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) signals from various insulators including quartz, Al2O3 : C, BeO and NaCl have been studied using the linear modulation OSL (LM-OSL) technique. LM-OSL is based on the linear increase of the stimulation light power from zero to a maximum during the measurement. The resultant OSL curve initially increases and then decays after reaching a maximum, The analysis of LM-OSL data usually assumes a linear relationship between the detrapping rate and the stimulation light inten...
LFM-Pro: a tool for detecting significant local structural sites in proteins
Sacan, Ahmet; Ozturk, Ozgur; Ferhatosmanoglu, Hakan; Wang, Yusu (Oxford University Press (OUP), 2007-03-15)
Motivation: The rapidly growing protein structure repositories have opened up new opportunities for discovery and analysis of functional and evolutionary relationships among proteins. Detecting conserved structural sites that are unique to a protein family is of great value in identification of functionally important atoms and residues. Currently available methods are computationally expensive and fail to detect biologically significant local features.
LSE and MSE optimum partition-based FIR-IIR deconvolution filters with best delay
Tuncer, Temel Engin (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2005-10-01)
We considered the least squares error (LSE) and mean square error (MSE) optimum best delay deconvolution filter design. We presented the partition-based finite impulse response-infinite impulse response (FIR-IIR) filters where the channel zeros are partitioned into two regions. The first region is composed of the selected channel zeros inside the unit circle, and the second region is composed of the remaining channel zeros outside the first region. Two methods for obtaining partitions are proposed, namely, ...

LRFMP model for customer segmentation in the grocery retail industry: a case study
Peker, Serhat; Koçyiğit, Altan; Eren, Pekin Erhan (2017-01-01)
Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to propose a new RFM model called length, recency, frequency, monetary and periodicity (LRFMP) for classifying customers in the grocery retail industry; and to identify different customer segments in this industry based on the proposed model.
