Comparison of Kalman filter and Bayesian-MAP approaches in the spatio-temporal solution of the inverse electrocardiography Ters elektrokardiyografinin zaman-uzamsal çözümünde Kalman filtre ve Bayes-MAP yöntemlerinin karşilaştirilmasi
Aydin, Ümit; Serinağaoğlu Doğrusöz, Yeşim (2010-07-15)
In this study some of the spatial and spatio-temporal methods for the solution of the inverse problem of electrocardiography (ECG) are compared with each other. Comparisons are also made for the cases with geometric errors, where the location of the heart is shifted for 10mm and the size of the heart is reduced by 5%. The compared methods are the Kalman filter and Bayesian maximum a posteriori estimation (MAP). Two different Bayesian-MAP algorithms are used. While one uses only spatial information the other...
Comparison of multi-cavity arrays for on-chip WDM applications
Erdinç, Havva; Kocaman, Serdar; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2019)
Researches about the interaction of single atoms with electromagnetic field create the foundation of cavity quantum electrodynamics (CQED) technology. Microlasers, photon bandgap structures and quantum dot structures in cavities are the initial examples of Cavity Quantum Electrodynamics. This thesis is focused on the comparison of multi-cavity arrays for on-chip wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) applications in the weak coupling regime. Firstly, single QD embedded cavity (cavity QD EIT) and cavity-cavi...
Comparison of Matrix Converter Induction Motor Drive Control Methods
Lettl, Jiri; Kuzmanovic, Dragan; Fligl, Stanislav (2011-09-10)
In this paper, the implementation of the Field Oriented Control and the Direct Torque Control in matrix converter supplied induction motor drives is analysed, and compared with the implementation in drives supplied by the Voltage Source Inverter. The analysis is accompanied by the results of numerical simulations and experimental implementations of these two control methods.
Comparison of ground motion scaling methods by considering vertical ground motions
Oğuz, Umut; Askan Gündoğan, Ayşegül; Yakut, Ahmet; Department of Civil Engineering (2022-5-20)
The increasing popularity of nonlinear time history analysis has created a demand for ground motion data that is consistent with the seismicity of the region. To meet this need as well as the target design criteria, engineers have started to scale ground motion records. Recent studies have shown that the vertical component of a ground motion can significantly change the results of an analysis. This situation has created a debate about how to scale the vertical component of the ground motions. There exists t...
