Two Higgs doublet model and lepton polarization in the B -> K tau(+)tau(-) decay

The decay width, forward-backward asymmetry and tau lepton longitudinal and transversal polarization for the exclusive B --> K tau(+)tau(-) decay in a two Higgs doubler model are computed. It is shown that the forward-backward asymmetry and longitudinal polarization of the tau lepton are very effective tools for establishing near physics.

A search for prompt lepton-jets in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV with the ATLAS detector
Aad, G.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2013-02-26)
We present a search for a light (mass < 2 GeV) boson predicted by Hidden Valley supersymmetric models that decays into a final state consisting of collimated muons or electrons, denoted "lepton-jets". The analysis uses 5 fb(-1) of root s = 7 TeV proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider to search for the following signatures: single lepton-jets with at least four muons; pairs of lepton-jets, each with two or more muons; and pairs of lepton-jets with two or more...
An analysis of f(0)-sigma mixing in light cone QCD sum rules
Gokalp, A; Sarac, Y; Yılmaz, Osman (Elsevier BV, 2005-03-10)
We investigate f(0)-sigma mixing in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules and by employing the experimental results about the decay widths and the masses of these scalar mesons we estimate the scalar mixing angle by using sigma meson data and f(0) meson data. The two values we thus obtain of the scalar mixing angle are not entirely consistent with each other, possibly indicating that the structure of these mesons cannot be simple quark-antiquark states.
The mass and residues of radially and orbitally excited doubly heavy baryons in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Bilmiş, Selçuk (Elsevier BV, 2019-04-01)
The mass and residues of the first radial and orbital excitations of J = 1/2 baryons containing two heavy quarks (b or c) are calculated within the QCD sum rules method. In calculations, the general forms of the interpolating currents with symmetric and anti-symmetric forms with respect to the exchange of heavy quarks have been used. Our results on the spectroscopic parameters of doubly heavy baryons are compared with the predictions of other theoretical approaches.
Model independent analysis of the decay B -> K+l(+)+l(-)
Pak, Namık Kemal; Rekalo, MP (Elsevier BV, 1998-08-13)
We demonstrate that the Dalitz-distributions in energies of both unpolarized leptons, produced in the decays B --> K + l(+) + l(-) for l= e, mu, tau, can be a sensitive test for possible new physics beyond the Standard Model. We find measurable characteristics (including the polarization of leptons as well) which are independent of all dirty non-perturbative physics needed in calculating the hadronic form factors. Such characteristics can be used to estimate the presence of possible non-standard mechanisms ...
Heavy baryon-light vector meson couplings in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Elsevier BV, 2011-02-15)
The strong coupling constants of heavy baryons with light vector mesons are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules using the most general form of the interpolating currents for the heavy baryons. It is shown that the sextet sextet, sextet-antitriplet and antitriplet-antitriplet transitions are described by one invariant function for each class of transitions. The values of the electric and magnetic coupling constants for these transitions are obtained.
