On the theory of internal photoemission in heterojunctions
Aslan, B; Turan, Raşit (Elsevier BV, 2005-08-01)
The theory of internal photoemission in semiconductor heterojunctions has been reviewed and the existing model has been extended by incorporating the effects of the difference in the effective masses in the active region and the substrate, non spherical-nonparabolic bands, and the energy loss per collisions. This complete model has been applied to describe the experimental results obtained from Si1-xGex/Si heterojunction infrared photodetectors. The barrier heights (correspondingly the cut-off wavelengths) ...

On the notion of stability of order convergence in vector lattices
Gorokhova, SG; Emelyanov, Eduard (1994-09-01)
In the theory of Banach lattices the following criterion for a norm to be order continuous is established: a norm is order continuous if and only if every order bounded sequence of positive pairwise disjoint elements in a lattice converges to zero in norm. In this paper we give a criterion for order convergence to be stable in a rather wide class of vector lattices which includes all Köthe spaces. The formulation of the criterion is analogous to that of the above-mentioned criterion for a norm to be order c...
On the quasi-incompressible finite element analysis of anisotropic hyperelastic materials
Gueltekin, Osman; Dal, Hüsnü; Holzapfel, Gerhard A. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2019-03-01)
Quasi-incompressible behavior is a desired feature in several constitutive models within the finite elasticity of solids, such as rubber-like materials and some fiber-reinforced soft biological tissues. The Q1P0 finite element formulation, derived from the three-field Hu-Washizu variational principle, has hitherto been exploited along with the augmented Lagrangian method to enforce incompressibility. This formulation typically uses the unimodular deformation gradient. However, contributions by Sansour (Eur ...
On the discretization of Darboux Integrable Systems
Zheltukhın, Kostyantyn (Informa UK Limited, 2020-10-01)
We study the discretization of Darboux integrable systems. The discretization is done using x-, y-integrals of the considered continuous systems. New examples of semi-discrete Darboux integrable systems are obtained.
