Extended dynamical symmetries of Landau levels in higher dimensions

Continuum models for time-reversal (TR) invariant topological insulators (Tis) in d >= 3 dimensions are provided by harmonic oscillators coupled to certain SO(d) gauge fields. These models are equivalent to the presence of spin-orbit (SO) interaction in the oscillator Hamiltonians at a critical coupling strength (equivalent to the harmonic oscillator frequency) and leads to flat Landau Level (LL) spectra and therefore to infinite degeneracy of either the positive or the negative helicity states depending on the sign of the SO coupling. Generalizing the results of [1] to d >= 4, we construct vector operators commuting with these Hamiltonians and show that SO(d, 2) emerges as the non-compact extended dynamical symmetry. Focusing on the model in four dimensions, we demonstrate that the infinite degeneracy of the flat spectra can be fully explained in terms of the discrete unitary representations of SO(4,2), i.e. the doubletons. The degeneracy in the opposite helicity branch is finite, but can still be explained exploiting the complex conjugate doubleton representations. Subsequently, the analysis is generalized to d-dimensions, distinguishing the cases of odd and even d. We also determine the spectrum generating algebra in these models and briefly comment on the algebraic organization of the LL states w.r.t. an underlying "deformed" AdS geometry as well as on the organization of the surface states under open boundary conditions in view of our results.


Strong coupling constant of negative parity octet baryons with light pseudoscalar mesons in light cone QCD sum rules

The strong coupling constants of the pi and K mesons with negative parity octet baryons are estimated within the light cone QCD sum rules. The elliptic and higher-order azimuthal anisotropy Fourier harmonics (v(n)) are obtained for pPb collisions at root s(NN) = 8.16 TeV over a wide range of event multiplicities based on multiparticle correlations. Magnetic dipole moment of the light tensor mesons in light cone QCD sum rules

The magnetic dipole moments of the light tensor mesons f(2), a(2) and the strange K-2*(0)(1430) tensor meson are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. It is observed that the values of the magnetic dipole moment for the charged tensor particles are considerably different from zero. These values are very close to zero for the light neutral f(2) and a(2) tensor mesons, while it has a small nonzero value for the neutral strange K-2*(0)(1430) tensor meson.
Strong coupling constants of decuplet baryons with vector mesons

We provide a comprehensive study of strong coupling constants of decuplet baryons with light nonet vector mesons in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules. Using the symmetry arguments, we argue that all coupling constants entering the calculations can be expressed in terms of only one invariant function even if the SU(3)(f) symmetry breaking effects are taken into account. We estimate the order of SU(3)(f) symmetry violations, which are automatically considered by the employed approach.
Combined search for supersymmetry with photons in proton-proton collisions at root s=13 TeV
