Using the experimental upper bound on the neutron electric dipole moment and the experimental result on the b-->s gamma branching ratio we have calculated the CP asymmetry and Gamma(2HDM)(b-->sl(+)l(-))/Gamma(SM)(b-->sl(+)l(-)). It is shown that in the invariant dilepton mass q(2) region (m(psi)(2),+0.2 GeV2)<q(2)<m(b)(2) the CP asymmetry is maximal and quite detectable.

Constraining four generation Standard Model with b->sy and b->sg
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Pak, NK (1996-12-05)
Using the experimental result on b --> s gamma and theoretical result on b --> sg, a four generation Standard Model (SM) is analysed to constrain the rephasing-invariant combinations of the CKM matrix and masses of the fourth generation quarks.
CP asymmetry in charged Higgs decays to chargino-neutralino pairs
Frank, Mariana; Turan, İsmail (American Physical Society (APS), 2007-10-01)
We analyze the charge-parity (CP) asymmetry in the charged Higgs boson decays to chargino-neutralino pairs, H-+/- -> chi(+/-)(i)chi(0)(j), i = 1, 2, j = 1,...,4. We show first that these modes have a large branching ratio for m(H)(+/-) greater than or similar to 600 GeV. We use Cutkosky rules to obtain the analytical formulas needed for the evaluation of the asymmetry under consideration. We then calculate the CP asymmetry in chargino-neutralino decays by including supersymmetric mass bounds, as well as con...
Electric dipole moments of charged leptons and lepton flavor violating interactions in the general two Higgs doublet model
Iltan, EO (American Physical Society (APS), 2001-07-01)
We calculate the electric dipole moment of the electron using the experimental result of the muon electric dipole moment and upper limit of the BR(mu-->e gamma) in the framework of the general two Higgs doubler model. Our prediction is 10(-32) e cm, which lies in the experimental current limits. Further, we obtain constraints for the Yukawa couplings )over bar>(D)(N,taue) and )over bar>(D)(N,tau mu). Finally, we present an expression which connects the BR(tau-->mu gamma) and the electric dipole moment of th...
Exact Solutions of Effective Mass Dirac Equation with Non-PT-Symmetric and Non-Hermitian Exponential-type Potentials
Arda, Altug; Sever, Ramazan (2009-09-01)
By using a two-component approach to the one-dimensional effective mass Dirac equation, bound states are investigated under the effect of two new non-PT-symmetric and non-Hermitian exponential type potentials. It is observed that the Dirac equation can be mapped into a Schrodinger-like equation by rescaling one of the two Dirac wave functions in the case of the position-dependent mass. The energy levels and the corresponding Dirac eigenfunctions are found analytically.
CP violation in polarized B -> pi l(+)l(-) and B -> pl(+)l(-) decays
Erkol, G; Wagenaar, JW; Turan, Gürsevil (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2005-05-01)
We study the decay rate and the CP violating asymmetry of the exclusive B -> pi l(+)l(-) and B -> rho l(+)l(-) decays in the case where one of the final leptons is polarized. We calculate the contributions coming from the individual polarization states in order to identify a so-called wrong sign decay, which is a decay with a given polarization, whose width and CP asymmetry are smaller as compared to the unpolarized one. The results are presented for electrons and tau leptons. We observe that in particular ...
