Deconvolution Kalman filtering for force measurements of revolving wings
Vester, R.; Perçin, Mustafa; van Oudheusden, B. (IOP Publishing, 2016-09-01)
The applicability of a deconvolution Kalman filtering approach is assessed for the force measurements on a flat plate undergoing a revolving motion, as an alternative procedure to correct for test setup vibrations. The system identification process required for the correct implementation of the deconvolution Kalman filter is explained in detail. It is found that in the presence of a relatively complex forcing history, the DK filter is better suited to filter out structural test rig vibrations than conventio...
VAPOR-LIQUID-EQUILIBRIUM STILL - A NEW DESIGN
SEKER, E; SOMER, TG (IOP Publishing, 1993-07-01)
A new vapour-liquid equilibrium still is designed and tested using three binary systems. The apparatus contains an equilibrium cell placed in a constant-temperature oil bath. The recirculation is provided by partial vaporization of the liquid in an electrically heated vertical tube. The pressure and temperature variations in the equilibrium cell are eliminated. Experimental results are in good agreement with the values reported in the literature. In summary, this paper outlines the design principles, mode o...

Asymptotic behavior of solutions of differential equations with piecewise constant arguments
Akhmet, Marat (Elsevier BV, 2008-09-01)
The main goal of the work is to obtain sufficient conditions for the asymptotic equivalence of a linear system of ordinary differential equations and a quasilinear system of differential equations with piecewise constant argument.
Nonlinear oscillation of second-order dynamic equations on time scales
Anderson, Douglas R.; Zafer, Ağacık (Elsevier BV, 2009-10-01)
Interval oscillation criteria are established for a second-order nonlinear dynamic equation on time scales by utilizing a generalized Riccati technique and the Young inequality. The theory can be applied to second-order dynamic equations regardless of the choice of delta or nabla derivatives.
