Waveguide filters with ridged and unequal width resonators
Yıldırım, Nevzat; Hizal, A (2005-06-17)
Analytical expressions are developed for characterization of ridged / finned waveguides for use in the design of direct coupled waveguide filters with ridged and / or unequal width resonators. The analytical expressions are used to control the harmonic passbands and higher order modes. A survey is made for comparison of responses of waveguide filters using unequal width resonators and unequal ridge resonators. it is found that ridged resonators are more effective in suppressing the spurious passbands in the...
Waveguide-based Monopulse Wideband Travelling-Wave Array
GULTEPE, Gokhan; DOGAN, Doganay; Aydın Çivi, Hatice Özlem (2017-07-14)
A novel, travelling-wave, waveguide antenna structure with monopulse capability in the two principal planes is proposed with increased frequency bandwidth. The array consists of two interleaved waveguide arrays which provide appropriate excitations to the antenna elements above the waveguide to generate proper sum and difference patterns. With the use of printed antennas and the elimination of the narrow frequency characteristics of the slots on the waveguides, the bandwidth of the array is greatly improved.
Waveguide multiplexer: miniaturized contiguous-band six-channel multiplexer structure
Sevinc, Y.; Demir, Şimşek (2017-08-24)
Efficient design procedure is introduced for the design of miniaturized contiguous band manifold-coupled multiplexer using the combination of the circuit-full-wave-based optimization in this study. Systematic methodology is based on the design of miniaturized channel filters using circuit model extraction and H-plane manifold network with hybrid optimization. The multiplexer is firstly analyzed in circuit level, and relevant lengths between channel filters and the lengths between each channel filters to man...

Wavefront-ray grid FDTD algorithm
Ciydem, Mehmet; Koç, Seyit Sencer (2016-01-01)
A finite difference time domain algorithm on a wavefront-ray grid (WRG-FDTD) is proposed in this study to reduce numerical dispersion of conventional FDTD methods. A FDTD algorithm conforming to a wavefront-ray grid can be useful to take into account anisotropy effects of numerical grids since it features directional energy flow along the rays. An explicit and second-order accurate WRG-FDTD algorithm is provided in generalized curvilinear coordinates for an inhomogeneous isotropic medium. Numerical simulati...
