Form factors of the rare Lambda(b)(Lambda*(b)) -> Nl(+)l(-) decays are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules by taking into account the contributions from the negative parity baryons. Using the obtained results on the form factors, the branching ratios of the considered decays are estimated. The numerical survey for the branching ratios of the Lambda(b) -> Nl(+)l(-) and Lambda*(b) -> Nl(+)l(-) decays indicate that these transitions could be measurable in LHCb in near future. Comparison of our predictions on the form factors and branching ratios with those existing in the literature is also performed.

Model independent analysis of Lambda baryon polarizations in Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay

We present a model independent analysis of Lambda baryon polarizations in the Lambda(b)-->Lambdal(+)l(-) decay. The sensitivity of the averaged Lambda polarizations to the new Wilson coefficients is studied. It is observed that there exist certain regions of the new Wilson coefficients where the branching ratio coincides with the standard model prediction, while the Lambda baryon polarizations deviate from the standard model results remarkably.
Form factor for penguin-induced B -> eta transition in light cone QCD sum rule
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2003-08-01)
We calculate the penguin-induced form factor for the B --> etal(+)l(-) decay. This form factor is calculated by light cone QCD sum rules, including contributions from wave functions up to twist-4 as well as mass corrections of the light eta meson.
Measurement of the Lambda(b) polarization and angular parameters in Lambda(b) -> J/psi Lambda decays from pp collisions at root s=7 and 8 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2018-04-01)
An analysis of the bottom baryon decay Lambda(b) -> J/psi(-> mu(+)mu(-))Lambda( -> p pi(-)) is performed to measure the Lambda(b) polarization and three angular parameters in data from pp collisions at root s = 7 and 8 TeV, collected by the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The Lambda(b) polarization is measured to be 0.00 +/- 0.06(stat) +/- 0.06(syst) and the parity-violating asymmetry parameter is determined to be 0.14 +/- 0.14(stat) +/- 0.10(syst). The measurements are compared to various theo...
Measurement of the integrated and differential t(t)over-bar production cross sections for high-p(T) top quarks in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2016-10-01)
The cross section for pair production of top quarks (t (t) over bar) with high transverse momenta is measured in pp collisions, collected with the CMS detector at the LHC with root s = 8 TeV in data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1). The measurement is performed using lepton + jets events, where one top quark decays semileptonically, while the second top quark decays to a hadronic final state. The hadronic decay is reconstructed as a single, large-radius jet, and identified as a top q...
Radiative decays of the heavy tensor mesons in light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (American Physical Society (APS), 2019-01-11)
The transition form factors of the radiative decays of the heavy tensor mesons to heavy pseudoscalar and heavy vector mesons are calculated in the framework of the light-cone QCD sum rules method at the point Q(2) = 0. Using the obtained values of the transition form factors at the point Q(2) = 0, the corresponding decay widths are estimated. The results show that the radiative decays of the heavy-light tensor mesons could potentially be measured in the future planned experiments at LHCb.
