X-ray powder diffraction and IR study of NaMg(H2O)(2)[BP2O8]center dot H2O and NH4Mg(H2O)(2)[BP2O8]center dot H2O
Baykal, Altan; Kniep, R (2000-09-01)
NaMg(H2O)(2)[BP2O8]. H2O was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis and was characterized by X-ray powder difraction and IR method. The title compound was synthesized from MgCl2. 6H(2)O, NaBO3. 4H(2)O, and (NH4)(2)HPO4 with variable molar ratios using hydrothermal method by heating at 165 degrees C for 3 days. The X-ray powder diffraction data was indexed in hexagonal system, the unit cell parameters were found to be as a = 9.428, c = 15.82 Angstrom, Z = 4 and the space group is P6(1)22. It is isostructural wit...
X-band high power solid state RF switch
Güzel, Kutlay; Demir, Şimşek; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2012)
RF/Microwave switches are widely used in microwave measurement systems, telecommunication and radar applications. The main purposes of RF switches are Tx-Rx switching, band select and switching the signal between different paths. Thus, they are key circuits especially in T/R modules. Wideband operation is an important criterion in EW applications. High power handling is also a key feature especially for radars detecting long range. In this study, different types of high power solid state switches operating ...
X-Ray Timing Properties of GX 1+4
Serim, Muhammed Miraç; Sahiner, Seyda; Serim Cerri, Danjela; Inam, Sitki Cagdas; Baykal, Altan (2016-10-14)
We present timing analysis of accreting X-ray pulsar GX 1+4 using the RXTE-PCA observations between 2001 and 2002. By constructing a phase connected timing solution for the source, we measured their spin frequencies and updated the long-term pulse frequency history of this source. We also reviewed the relation between frequency derivative and X-ray flux during this episode.
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic investigation of conducting polymer blends
Suzer, S; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Hallam, KR; Allen, GC (1996-06-01)
Electrochemically prepared films of conducting polymers of polypyrrole and polythiophene and their blends with polyamide have been investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. In the N1s region of the spectra of films containing polypyrrole the peak corresponding to N+ at 402.0 eV is separated from that of neutral N. The intensity of the N+ peak can be correlated with the electrical conductivity of the films and the spectroscopically derived ratio of F/N+ is close to 4 indicating that one BF4- dopant i...
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy for resistance-capacitance measurements of surface structures
Ertaş, Gülay; Atalar, A; Suzer, S (2005-05-02)
In x-ray photoemission measurements, differential charging causes the measured binding energy difference between the Si 2p of the oxide and the silicon substrate to vary nonlinearly as a function of the applied external do voltage stress, which controls the low-energy electrons going into and out of the sample. This nonlinear variation is similar to the system where a gold metal strip is connected to the same voltage stress through an external 10 Mohm series resistor and determined again by x-ray photoelect...
