In this work, the thermodynamic properties of pseudo-harmonic potential in the presence of external magnetic and Aharanov-Bohm fields are investigated. The effective Boltzmann factor in the superstatistics formalism was used to obtain the thermodynamic properties such as Helmholtz free energy, Internal energy, entropy and specific heat capacity of the system. In addition, the thermal properties of some selected diatomic molecules of N-2, Cl-2, I-2 and CH using their experimental spectroscopic parameters and the effect of varying the deformation parameter of q = 0, 0.3, 0.7 were duly examined.

Thermal contact conductance of nominaly flat surfaces
Yüncü, Hafit (2006-11-01)
The variation of thermal conductance of contact has been investigated as a function of apparent contact pressure experimentally. Experimental data has been obtained for steel, brass, copper and aluminum test pieces having different surface roughness over a wide range of contact pressures. Experimental results are compared with the theoretical predictions of an existing theory. Comparison revealed good agreement of trend with the experimental data, however, numerical values vary widely. Theory can predict th...
On solutions of the Schrodinger equation for some molecular potentials: wave function ansatz
IKHDAİR, SAMEER; Sever, Ramazan (2008-09-01)
Making an ansatz to the wave function, the exact solutions of the D-dimensional radial Schrodinger equation with some molecular potentials, such as pseudoharmonic and modified Kratzer, are obtained. Restrictions on the parameters of the given potential, delta and nu are also given, where eta depends on a linear combination of the angular momentum quantum number l and the spatial dimensions D and delta is a parameter in the ansatz to the wave function. On inserting D = 3, we find that the bound state eigenso...
Relativistic Two-Dimensional Harmonic Oscillator Plus Cornell Potentials in External Magnetic and AB Fields
Ikhdair, Sameer M.; Sever, Ramazan (Hindawi Limited, 2013)
The Klein-Gordon (KG) equation for the two-dimensional scalar-vector harmonic oscillator plus Cornell potentials in the presence of external magnetic and Aharonov-Bohm (AB) flux fields is solved using the wave function ansatz method. The exact energy eigenvalues and the wave functions are obtained in terms of potential parameters, magnetic field strength, AB flux field, and magnetic quantum number. The results obtained by using different Larmor frequencies are compared with the results in the absenc...
Energy spectrum of a 2D Dirac oscillator in the presence of a constant magnetic field and an antidot potential
Akçay, Hüseyin; Sever, Ramazan (2016-07-04)
We investigate the energy spectrum and the corresponding eigenfunctions of a 2D Dirac oscillator confined by an antidot potential in the presence of a magnetic field and Aharonov-Bohm flux field. Analytical solutions are obtained and compared with the results of the Schrodinger equation found in the literature. Further, the dependence of the spectrum on the magnetic quantum number and on the repulsive potential is discussed.
Optical absorption of a quantum well with an adjustable asymmetry
Yildirim, H.; Tomak, Mehmet (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2006-04-01)
The effects of asymmetry and the electric field on the electronic subbands and the nonlinear intersubband optical absorption of GaAs quantum wells represented by a Poschl-Teller confining potential are studied. The potential itself can be made asymmetric through a correct choice of its parameter set and this adjustable asymmetry is important for optimizing the absorption. In that way optimal cases can be created. We calculate the modified wave functions and electronic subbands variationally. The linear and ...
