Improvements on generalized hamming weights of some trace codes
GÜNERİ, CEM; Özbudak, Ferruh (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2006-05-01)
We obtain improved bounds for the generalized Hamming weights of some trace codes which include a large class of cyclic codes over any finite field. In particular, we improve the corresponding bounds of Stichtenoth and Voss [8] using various methods altogether.
MODIFICATIONS OF KNUTH RANDOMNESS TESTS FOR INTEGER AND BINARY SEQUENCES
Koçak, Onur Ozan; SULAK, FATİH; Doğanaksoy, Ali; Uğuz, Muhiddin (2018-01-01)
Generating random numbers and random sequences that are indistinguishable from truly random sequences is an important task for cryptography. To measure the randomness, statistical randomness tests are applied to the generated numbers and sequences. Knuth test suite is the one of the first statistical randomness suites. This suite, however, is mostly for real number sequences and the parameters of the tests are not given explicitly.
Improvements on hyperspectral classification algorithms
Özdemir, Okan Bilge; Çetin, Yasemin (2013-06-28)
This study investigates the effect of training set selection strategy on classification accuracy of hyperspectral images. This effect is analyzed in conjunction with three other factors, namely the use principal component analysis on the input data, and the use of spatial information and choice of classifier. Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Maximum Likelihood (ML) classifiers are used for demonstration. Meanshift segmentation and majority voting are used for inclusion of spatial information. The effect of...
Enhancements for Sliding Window based Stream Classification
Maden, Engin; Karagöz, Pınar (2019-09-19)
In stream mining, there are several limitations on the classification process, since the time and resource are limited. The data is read only once and the whole history of data can not be stored. There are several methods developed so far such as stream based adaptations of decision trees, nearest-neighbor methods and neural network classifiers. This paper presents new enhancements on sliding window based classification methods. As the first modification, we use the traditional kNN (K-Nearest Neighbors) met...
