Genotyping of beta-casein, kappa-casein and beta-lactoglobulin genes in turkish native cattle breeds and efforts to delineate bcm-7 on human pbmc
Dinç, Havva; Kence, Aykut; Department of Biology (2009)
The main aim of this study is to determine genetic diversity of milk protein genes associated with milk traits, namely beta-casein, kappa-casein and betalactoglobulin, in native Turkish cattle breeds (Turkish Grey, Eastern Anatolian Red, Anatolian Black, and Southern Anatolian Red) and Turkish Holstein. Only 11% deviation from the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium and insignificant Fis values for the populations were observed, indicating that samples are free of inbreeding. B alleles of these genes, which are posi...
New hidden beauty molecules predicted by the local hidden gauge approach and heavy quark spin symmetry
Xiao, C. W.; Özpineci, Altuğ; Oset, E. (2010-06-24)
Using a coupled channel unitary approach, combining the heavy quark spin symmetry and the dynamics of the local hidden gauge, we investigate the meson-meson interaction with hidden beauty. We obtain several new states of isospin I = 0: six bound states, and weakly bound six more possible states which depend on the influence of the coupled channel effects.

g(rho sigma gamma) coupling constant in light cone QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savci, M (2002-04-01)
The coupling constant g(rhosigmagamma) is determined from light cone QCD sum rules. A comparison of our result with the ones existing in the literature is presented.
Occlusion Handling Frame Rate Up-Conversion
Ozkalayci, Burak; Alatan, Abdullah Aydın (2011-09-06)
This paper presents a novel occlusion handling frame rate up-conversion method. The proposed method consists of two main steps; true motion estimation and directionally adaptive motion compensated interpolation. In the true motion estimation step, forward and backward directed motion vectors are estimated and merged recursively in order to reliably estimate the occlusion regions without increasing the number of frame buffers. After acquiring a reliable motion vector field, motion compensated interpolation i...
