New hidden beauty molecules predicted by the local hidden gauge approach and heavy quark spin symmetry
Xiao, C. W.; Özpineci, Altuğ; Oset, E. (2010-06-24)
Using a coupled channel unitary approach, combining the heavy quark spin symmetry and the dynamics of the local hidden gauge, we investigate the meson-meson interaction with hidden beauty. We obtain several new states of isospin I = 0: six bound states, and weakly bound six more possible states which depend on the influence of the coupled channel effects.
Post-soviet migration patterns in kyrgyzstan and the case of Özbeks
Yıldırım, Sevilay; Aydıngün, Ayşegül; Department of Eurasian Studies (2019)
This thesis examines the migration patterns in Kyrgyzstan that have emerged after the independence period and the approach of Uzbek community in the country to migration and the preferable migration destinations within the framework of push and pull factors. Uzbeks, who are the second major ethnic group in Kyrgyzstan, live compactly in the southern provinces- Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken. They comprise one third of the region’s population and 14 percent of the country’s total population. In Kyrgyzstan, migra...
Fourth generation effects in rare exclusive B -> K*l(+)l(-) decay
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ; Savcı, Mustafa (2000-10-02)
Influence of the fourth generation, if ever exists, on the experimentally measurable quantities such as invariant dilepton mass distribution, lepton forward-backward asymmetry, and the ratio Gamma(L)/Gamma(T) of the decay widths when K* meson is longitudinally and transversally polarized, is studied. Using the experimental results on the branching ratios for the B --> X(s)gamma and semileptonic B --> X(c)l (v) over bar decays, the two possible solutions of the 4 x 4 Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa factor Vt'sVt'b...
Rare B -> l(+)l(-)gamma decay and new physics effects
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ; Savcı, Mustafa (2001-11-08)
Using the most general, model independent form of the effective Hamiltonian rare decays B --> l(+)l(-)gamma (l = mu, tau) are studied. The sensitivity of the photon energy distribution and branching ratio to the new Wilson coefficients is investigated.
Strong Coupling Constants of Negative Parity Heavy Baryons with pi and K Mesons
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Bilmiş, Selçuk; Savcı, Mustafa (2017-01-01)
The strong coupling constants of negative parity heavy baryons belonging to sextet and antitriplet representations of SUf(3) with light pi and K mesons are estimated within the light cone QCD sum rules. It is observed that each class of the sextet-sextet, sextet-antitriplet, and antitriplet-antitriplet transitions can be described by only one corresponding function. The pollution arising from the positive to positive, positive to negative, and negative to positive parity baryons transitions is eliminated by...
