Effect of doping is investigated by applying iodine dopant to plasma polymerized fluorene (C13H10)-type thin films utilizing two separate techniques: ex-situ and in-situ doping. In this study, the thin films are produced using a mixture of biphenyl and methane in a capacitively coupled glow plasma system. Produced thin films are characterized using a fourier transform infrared spectrometer, an ultraviolet-visible spectrometer, a scanning electron microscope, and a two-point probe technique of the current - voltage characteristics. The results show that the in-situ doping technique is more effective than the ex-situ doping technique based on the improvements observed.

Synthesis and investigation of optical properties of Ce3+, Dy3+, Eu3+ single doped, Ce3+/ Dy3+ codoped, Ce3+/Dy3+/ Eu3+ triple doped and Yb3+ single doped, Ce3+/Tb3+/ Yb3+ triple doped GDBO3

The effect of triple doping in photoluminescence has been investigated in recent years, and it could utilize the compounds in terms of some demands. The photoluminescence activity of the materials can be used for quantum cutting solar cells, white light-emitting diodes, flat display panels, optical thermometer, or for the purpose of biosensor, etc. Single doped Ce3+, Dy3+, Eu3+, Yb3+ doped, and Ce3+/Dy3+ codoped, Dy3+/Ce3+/Eu3+ and Tb3+/Ce3+/Yb3+ triple doped GdBO3 nanocompounds were synthesized by sol-gel ...
Study of thin film poly-crystalline CdTe solar cells presenting high acceptor concentrations achieved by in-situ arsenic doping
Kartopu, G.; Oklobia, O.; Turkay, D.; Diercks, D. R.; Gorman, B. P.; Barrioz, V.; Campbell, S.; Major, J. D.; Al Turkestani, M. K.; Yerci, Selçuk; Barnes, T. M.; Beattie, N. S.; Zoppi, G.; Jones, S.; Irvine, S. J. C. (2019-06-01)
Doping of CdTe using Group-V elements (As, P, and Sb) has gained interest in pursuit of increasing the cell voltage of CdTe thin film solar devices. Studies on bulk CdTe crystals have shown that much higher acceptor concentration than the traditional copper treatment is possible with As, P or Sb, enabled by high process temperature and/or rapid thermal quenching under Cd overpressure. We report a comprehensive study on in-situ As doping of poly-crystalline CdTe solar cells by MOCVD, whereby high acceptor de...
Enhancement of electrical conductivity of plasma polymerized fluorene-type thin film under iodine and chlorine dopants
MANSUROGLU, Dogan; Uzun Kaymak, İlker Ümit (2017-08-31)
Electrical and optical properties of plasma-polymerized fluorene-type (C13H10) iodine-and chlorine-doped thin films are investigated. Fluorene-type thin films are produced using a mixture of biphenyl (C12H10) and methane (CH4) inside a single capacitively coupled radio frequency plasma system. The dopants are mixed with the plasmadirectly as vapor during the deposition. The chemical structures of the generated functional compounds, evaluated by a Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, exhibit a changeable...
Effect of thermal neutron irradiation in boron-doped melt-textured YBCO superconductors
Topal, U; Dorosinskii, L; Ozkan, H; Yavuz, H (Elsevier BV, 2003-05-01)
Y1.6Ba2.3Cu3.3Ox superconductors with different amounts of boron doping have been synthesized using the MPMG technique. Undoped and boron-doped samples were irradiated with thermal neutrons to study the effect of defects produced by the fission reaction, B(n,alpha)Li, on the pinning and the critical current. We observed that the pinning and the critical current density were improved as a result of thermal neutron irradiation. This improvement was slightly stronger for the boron-doped samples compared to the...
Investigation of the fluidity of biological fluids with a PDDTBN spin probe
Severcan, Feride; Acar, B; Gokalp, S (1997-06-01)
The aim of this study is to ascertain whether the electron spin resonance technique using perdeutero-di-t-butyl nitroxide (PDDTBN) as a spin probe is able to monitor relative fluidity changes occurring in body fluids, such as blood and parotid saliva, according to different physiological conditions. The present study reveals that the spin probe PDDTBN is able to monitor the fluidity changes in parotid saliva related to habitual smoking, and in whole blood related to the estradiol level. The rotational corre...
