An AM1 study on C-60@C-180 system
Türker, Burhan Lemi; Gumus, S (Elsevier BV, 2004-04-09)
AM1 type (RHF) semi-empirical calculations are performed on endohedrally C-60 doped C-180 structure to examine the electronic and structural properties. The molecule is found to be stable but endothermic in nature.
An in vitro mechanical comparison of tibial plateau levelling osteotomy plates
Bordelon, J.; Çöker, Demirkan; Payton, M.; Rochat, M. (Georg Thieme Verlag KG, 2009-01-01)
An in vitro mechanical study was performed to compare the fatigue properties and the loads to failure of four plate designs that are used to stabilise the tibial plateau levelling osteotomy (TPLO). Seventy-two gapped osteotomy models were created using 3.5 mm versions of the following plates: a standard TPLO plate, a low profile TPLO plate, a locking TPLO plate (LocP), and a broad locking TPLO plate (bLocP). The 18 constructs for each plate design were sub-divided into three identical groups of six. Six con...
An ONIOM and DFT Study of Water and Ammonia Adsorption on Anatase TiO2 (001) Cluster
Erdogan, Rezan; Önal, Işık (2011-08-05)
Density functional theory (DFT) calculations at ONIOM DFT B3LYP/6-31G**-MD/UFF level are employed to study molecular and dissociative water and ammonia adsorption on anatase TiO2 (001) surface represented by partially relaxed Ti20O35 ONIOM cluster. DFT calculations indicate that water molecule is dissociated on anatase TiO2 (001) surface by a nonactivated process with an exothermic relative energy difference of 58.12 kcal/mol. Dissociation of ammonia molecule on the same surface is energetically more favora...
