In this study we obtain the P-T phase diagram for the ice VI-VII-VIII phase transitions by means of the mean held model developed here. We have fitted the experimentally measured P-T data to our phase Line equations. Our calculated phase diagram describes adequately the observed behavior of the ice VI-VII-VIII phase transitions.

A phase diagram for ammonium halides
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit; Tublek, A (Informa UK Limited, 1995-01-01)
In this study we have developed a mean field model to obtain the phase diagrams for NH4Cl and NH4Br. The phase diagrams obtained from our macroscopic theory are in good agreement with those obtained experimentally.
Comparison of dispersive and non-dispersive numarical long wave models and harbor agitation
Özbay, Ali; Yalçıner, Ahmet Cevdet; Department of Civil Engineering (2012)
In this study, the evolution of the numerical water wave models with the theoretical background and the governing equations are briefly discussed and a numerical model MIKE21 BW which can be applied to wave problems in nearshore zone is presented. The numerical model is based on the numerical solution of the Boussinesq type equations formulated on time domain. Nonlinearity and frequency dispersion is included in the model. In order to make comparison between the results of nonlinear shallow water equations ...
A Phase Diagram of the Nematic, Smectic A and Smectic C phases in Liquid Crystals
Salihoǧlu, S.; Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (1998-12-01)
In this study we have obtained a phase diagram for the nematic, smectic A and smectic C phases in liquid crystals. For this phase diagram we have studied two different mean field models for a mixture of liquid crystalline system. In our first model we consider the NC and AC transitions as first order, and the NA transition as a second order. In our second model we consider the NC and NA transitions as first order, and the AC transition as a second order.
A phase diagram near the NAC point in liquid crystals
Salihoglu, S; Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit; Enginer, Y (2002-07-01)
In this study using a mean field model we obtain the phase line equations for the NA. NC and AC transitions near the NAC point in a mixture of liquid crystals. We then fit these phase line equations to the experimental data. This fitting shows that our theoretical phase diagram predicts the correct experimental behaviour of the phase diagram in a mixture of liquid crystals.
A mean field model near the NAC point in liquid crystals
Enginer, Y.; Salihoǧlu, S.; Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (2002-10-01)
In this study we obtain the phase line equations for the nematic-smectic A (NA), smectic A-smectic C (AC) and nematic-smectic C (NC) transitions using a mean field model. We fit these phase line equations to the experimental phase diagram near the Nenatic-smectic A-smectic C (NAC) point. Our calculated phase diagram agrees well with the experimental.
