We suggest to measure the t-dependence of the two possible T-even asymmetries for the photoproduction of vector mesons, gamma + rho --> rho + V-0, V-0 = rho or omega, in the collision of circularly polarized photons with a polarized proton target. In the framework of a (pi + sigma)-model, these asymmetries are very sensitive to the relative role of pi- and sigma-exchanges, in the near threshold region.

Measurement of the transverse momentum spectra of weak vector bosons produced in proton-proton collisions at root s=8TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2017-02-01)
The transverse momentum spectra of weak vector bosons are measured in the CMS experiment at the LHC. The measurement uses a sample of proton-proton collisions at root s = 8TeV, collected during a special low-luminosity running that corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 18: 4 +/- 0: 5 pb(-1). The production of W bosons is studied in both electron and muon decay modes, while the production of Z bosons is studied using only the dimuon decay channel. The ratios of W- to W+ and Z to W di ff erential cross s...
Analysis of heavy spin-3/2 baryon-heavy spin-1/2 baryon-light vector meson vertices in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (American Physical Society (APS), 2011-05-16)
The heavy spin-3/2 baryon-heavy spin-1/2 baryon vertices with light vector mesons are studied within the light cone QCD sum rules method. These vertices are parametrized in terms of three coupling constants. These couplings are calculated for all possible transitions. It is shown that correlation functions for these transitions are described by only one invariant function for every Lorenz structure. The obtained relations between the correlation functions of the different transitions are structure independe...
Measurement of angular parameters from the decay B-0 -> K*(0)mu(+)mu(-) in proton-proton collisions at root s=8 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2018-06-01)
Angular distributions of the decay B-0 -> K*(0)mu(+)mu(-) are studied using a sample of proton-proton collisions at root s = 8 TeV collected with the CMS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20.5 fb(-1). An angular analysis is performed to determine the P-1 and P-5' parameters, where the P-5' parameter is of particular interest because of recent measurements that indicate a potential discrepancy with the standard model predictions. Based on a sample of 1397 signal events, the P-...
Measurement of the Z boson differential cross section in transverse momentum and rapidity in proton-proton collisions at 8 TeV
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2015-10-01)
We present a measurement of the Z boson differential cross section in rapidity and transverse momentum using a data sample of pp collision events at a centre-of-mass energy root s = 8 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1). The Z boson is identified via its decay to a pair of muons. The measurement provides a precision test of quantum chromodynamics over a large region of phase space. In addition, due to the small experimental uncertainties in the measurement the data has the potentia...
Measurement with the ATLAS detector of multi-particle azimuthal correlations in p plus Pb collisions at root s(NN)=5.02 TeV
Aad, G.; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2013-08-09)
In order to study further the long-range correlations ("ridge") observed recently in p + Pb collisions at root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV, the second-order azimuthal anisotropy parameter of charged particles, v(2), has been measured with the cumulant method using the ATLAS detector at the LHC. In a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of approximately 1 mu b(-1), the parameter v(2) has been obtained using two- and four-particle cumulants over the pseudorapidity range vertical bar eta vertical bar < 2...
