When two ferromagnetic layers have a common resonance frequency, the usual spin-pumping broadening may be reduced by dynamic exchange coupling. Utilizing the antiferromagnetic coupling between Co and Gd, we explore the change in ferromagnetic resonance accompanying a spontaneous transition from parallel to antiparallel magnetic alignment of two Co films below the compensation temperature T-comp. Above T-comp, the data are consistent with conventional models. However, a rapid doubling of magnetic damping accompanies the realignment, which is reminiscent of resistivity changes in giant magnetoresistance. (C) 2011 American Institute of Physics. Evidence for Collective Multiparticle Correlations in p-Pb Collisions
Khachatryan, V.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2015-06-01)
The second-order azimuthal anisotropy Fourier harmonics, nu(2), are obtained in p-Pb and PbPb collisions over a wide pseudorapidity (.) range based on correlations among six or more charged particles. The p-Pb data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35 nb(-1), were collected during the 2013 LHC p-Pb run at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV by the CMS experiment. A sample of semiperipheral PbPb collision data at root S-NN = 2.76 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2...
THE NEUTRAL HEAVY SCALAR PRODUCTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH Z(L) IN THE LITTLEST HIGGS MODEL AT ILC AND CLIC
Cagil, A.; Zeyrek, Mehmet Tevfik (Jagiellonian University, 2011-01-01)
In this work, the production processes of heavy neutral scalar and pseudoscalar associated with standard model gauge boson Z(L) at future e(+)e(-) colliders (ILC and CLIC) are examined. The total and differential cross-sections are calculated for the processes in the context of the littlest Higgs model. Dependence of production processes to littlest Higgs model parameters in the range of compatibility with electroweak precision measurements and decays to lepton-flavor violating final states are also analyze...
Effects of Nanoparticle Geometry and Temperature on the Structural Evolution in FeCo Nanoalloys
Yalçın, Mehtap; Mehrabov, Amdulla; Akdeniz, Mahmut Vedat (Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, 2014-02-01)
Effects of nanoparticle size (2.0-6.0 rim) and shape (spherical and cubic) on structural characteristic of atomic ordering processes and order-disorder transformation in B2-type ordered equiatomic-FeCo nanoalloys have been studied by combining electronic theory of alloys in the pseudopotential approximation with Ising-type Hamiltonian site exchange Monte Carlo simulation method. Structural evolutions in amorphous nanopaxticles (2-6 nm) of Fe50Co50 alloy have been utilized via molecular dynamic simulations f...
Measurement of the B-+/- Meson Nuclear Modification Factor in Pb-Pb Collisions at root s(NN)=5.02 TeV
Sirunyan, A. M.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2017-10-01)
The differential production cross sections of B-+/- mesons are measured via the exclusive decay channels B-+/- -> J/psi K-+/- -> mu(+)mu K--(+/-) as a function of transverse momentum in pp and Pb-Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy root s(NN) = 5.02 TeV per nucleon pair with the CMS detector at the LHC. The pp(Pb - Pb) data set used for this analysis corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 28.0 pb(-1) (351 mu b(-1)). The measurement is performed in the B-+/- meson transverse momentum range of 7 to 5...
Calculation of the Raman frequencies of lattice modes in the disordered phase II of NH4Br at high pressures
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (Physics Essays Publication, 2010-01-01)
The Raman frequencies are calculated here at various temperatures for the nu(7) (56 cm(-1)) and nu(5) (134 cm(-1)) lattice modes in the disordered phase II of NH4Br. The lattice parameter data obtained at zero pressure are used to calculate the Raman frequencies of those modes studied for constant pressures of 0.1, 108, and 637.5 MPa in phase II of the NH4Br crystal. Through the mode Gruumlneisen parameter which is kept constant in the disordered phase II, the Raman frequencies calculated decrease linearly ...
