In this paper, timing data for anomalous X-ray pulsars and soft gamma repeaters are compiled. Timing properties of these objects are investigated. The effect of bursts of soft gamma repeaters on their period history is investigated. The P-P diagram for pulsars, X-ray binaries, anomalous X-ray pulsars, soft gamma repeaters and dim radio quiet neutron stars is constructed. The possible evolutionary tracks for anomalous X-ray pulsars, soft gamma repeaters and dim radio quiet neutron stars are examined.

Investigations of pulsational properties and evolution of propagation diagram in some delta Scuti star models
Kiziloglu, N; Kirbiyik, H; Civelek, R (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2003-07-01)
An investigation on the subject of evolution of propagation diagrams and obtaining the theoretical frequency spectrum of some delta Scuti star models with masses around 2 M-circle dot has been presented. The variations of some eigenfunctions throughout the star, the variation of omega(2) with logT(e) and the distribution of nodes of eigenfunctions of some modes along with the evolution of the star have been plotted and examined. For the models at the ZAMS phase, pure acoustic modes in the outer stellar laye...
The X-ray spectral evolution of classical Nova V1974 Cygni 1992: A reanalysis of the ROSAT data
Balman, Şölen; Krautter, J; Ogelman, H (IOP Publishing, 1998-05-20)
We present a spectral analysis of the archival X-ray data of classical Nova V1974 Cygni 1992 (Nova Cygni 1992) obtained by the ROSAT Position Sensitive Proportional Counter (PSPC). The X-ray spectrum is fitted with a two-component model. The first component is a white dwarf atmosphere emission model developed for the remnants of classical novae near the Eddington luminosity. The model is used to fit the soft X-ray data in the similar to 0.1-1.0 keV range, where the bulk of emission is below 0.7 keV. The sec...
Analysis of RXTE-PCA Observations of SMC X-1
İNAM, SITKI ÇAĞDAŞ; Baykal, Altan; Beklen, E. (Oxford University Press (OUP), 2010-03-21)
We present timing and spectral analysis of Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer-Proportional Counter Array observations of SMCX-1 between 1996 January and 2003 December. From observations around 1996 August 30 with a time-span of similar to 6 d, we obtain a precise timing solution for the source and resolve the eccentricity as 0.00089(6). We find an orbital decay rate of (P) over dot(orb)/P(orb) = -3.402(7) x 10(-6) yr(-1) which is close to the previous results. Using our timing analysis and the previous studies, we...

W We present the reconstructed real-space density and the predicted velocity fields from the Two-Micron All-Sky Redshift Survey (2MRS). The 2MRS is the densest all-sky redshift survey to date and includes about 23 200 galaxies with extinction-corrected magnitudes brighter than K-s = 11.25. Our method is based on the expansion of these fields in Fourier-Bessel functions. Within this framework, the linear redshift distortions only affect the density field in the radial direction and can easily be deconvolved ...
A Study on W Ursae Majoris-Type Systems Recognised by the ROTSE-IIId Experiment

We present a study on characterising the light curves of W UMa-type systems gathered from the archive containing 5 years of data observed with the Robotic Optical Transient Search Experiment Telescope (ROTSE-IIId) located in Turkey. A sample of 45 W UMa-type systems was studied on the basis of Fourier decomposition of light curves and some basic geometrical parameters, namely degree of contact (f), mass ratio (q), and orbital inclination (i), as approximated values for these systems were determined.
