We present the results of the optical observations of clusters of galaxies trough photometric observations with RTT150 telescope. We have selected a sample of 10 nearby (z < 1.2) Abell clusters from the northern sky. Properties of the extended X-ray intra-cluster medium (ICM) are studied using Chandra and XMM-Newton archival data. Considering possible relations of X-ray and radio plasma, the extended radio halo and jets are studied. The intent of our observations is to map galaxy densities in the optical band and to define sub-clustering if there is any. The X-ray (temperature and metal distributions) and radio features, combined with galaxy distributions are used to diagnose morphology, structure and evolutional history of the clusters.

Optical imaging and spectroscopic observation of the galactic supernova remnant G85.9-0.6
GÖK, FATMA; Sezer, A.; Aktekin, E.; Guever, T.; Ercan, N. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2009-11-01)
Optical CCD imaging with H alpha and [SII] filters and spectroscopic observations of the galactic supernova remnant G85.9-0.6 have been performed for the first time. The CCD image data are taken with the 1.5 m Russian-Turkish Telescope (RTT150) at TBA degrees TAK National Observatory (TUG) and spectral data are taken with the Bok 2.3 m telescope on Kitt Peak, AZ.
X-RAY SPECTRAL AND OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF A ULX IN NGC 4258 (M106)
Avdan, H.; Avdan, S.; AKYÜZ, AYSUN; Balman, Şölen; AKSAKER, NAZIM; AKKAYA ORALHAN, Inci (American Astronomical Society, 2016-09-10)
We study the X-ray and optical properties of the ultraluminous X-ray source (ULX) X-6 in the nearby galaxy NGC 4258 (M106) based on the archival XMM-Newton, Chandra, Swift, and Hubble Space Telescope (HST) observations. The source has a peak luminosity of L-X similar to 2 x 10(39) erg s(-1) in the XMM-Newton observation of 2004 June. Consideration of the hardness ratios and the spectral model parameters shows that the source seems to exhibit possible spectral variations throughout the X-ray observations. In...

VERITAS, an Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescope (IACT) system for gammma-ray astronomy in the GeV-TeV range, has recently completed its first season of observations with a full array of four telescopes. A number of astrophysical gamma-ray sources have been detected, both galactic and extragalactic, including sources previously unknown at TeV energies. We describe the status of the array and some highlight results, and assess the technical performance, sensitivity and shower reconstruction capabilities.
Direct Reconstruction of Pharmacokinetic-Rate Images of Optical Fluorophores From NIR Measurements
Alacam, Burak; Yazici, Birsen (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2009-09-01)
In this paper, we present a new method to form pharmacokinetic-rate images of optical fluorophores directly from near infra-red (NIR) boundary measurements. We first derive a mapping from spatially resolved pharmacokinetic rates to NIR boundary measurements by combining compartmental modeling with a diffusion based NIR photon propagation model. We express this mapping as a state-space equation. Next, we introduce a spatio-temporal prior model for the pharmacokinetic-rate images and combine it with the state...
Emission Lines of Northern Planetary Nebulae

In this work, we present results of long slit spectrophotometric emission line flux observations of selected planetary nebulae (PNe). We have measured absolute fluxes and equivalent widths (EW) of all observable emission lines. In addition to these observations, electron temperatures (Te), densities (Ne), and chemical abundances were also calculated. The main purpose of this work is to fill the gaps in emission line flux standards for the northern hemisphere. It is expected that the measured fluxes would be...
