This article presents an approach for the modulation of an asymmetric six-phase induction machine. The developed model is formed by two sets of three-phase stator windings that are displaced by 60 degrees. Since this kind of machines can have stator windings displaced with different angles this model also allows choosing another angle. Due to the fact that the induction machine was fully implemented in real coordinates, it is possible to simulate stator and rotor faults without being necessary to change system equations, only system parameters. The simulated results are used to validate the model.

An approximation for kanban controlled assembly systems
TOPAN, Engin; Avşar, Zeynep Müge (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2011-01-01)
An approximation is proposed to evaluate the steady-state performance of kanban controlled two-stage assembly systems. The development of the approximation is as follows. The considered continuous-time Markov chain is aggregated keeping the model exact, and this aggregate model is approximated replacing some state-dependent transition rates with constant rates. The approximate aggregate model is, then, decomposed into submodels and a product-form steady-state distribution is obtained for each submodel. Fina...
Vector Magnetic Characteristic Analysis of Induction Motor considering Effect of Harmonic Component due to Secondary Slot
Enokizono, Masato; Kunihiro, Naoki (2011-09-10)
This paper presents load characteristics of a three-phase induction motor model core calculated with the finite element method considering two-dimensional vector magnetic properties. Influence of harmonic components due to the secondary slot of the rotor core on the total iron loss is investigated. In this paper we propose a new iron loss calculation method to consider higher harmonic components.
An Energy Efficient Additive Neural Network
Afrasiyabi, Arman; Nasır, Barış; Yildiz, Ozan; Yarman Vural, Fatoş Tunay; ÇETİN, AHMET ENİS (2017-05-18)
In this paper, we propose a new energy efficient neural network with the universal approximation property over space of Lebesgue integrable functions. This network, called additive neural network, is very suitable for mobile computing. The neural structure is based on a novel vector product definition, called ef-operator, that permits a multiplier-free implementation. In ef-operation, the "product" of two real numbers is defined as the sum of their absolute values, with the sign determined by the sign of th...
A new representation for the properties of anisotropic elastic fiber reinforced composite materials
Gaith, MS; Akgoz, CY (2005-09-01)
A new procedure based on constructing orthonormal tensor basis using the form-invariant expressions which can easily be extended to any tensor of rank n. A new decomposition, which is not in literature, of the stress tensor is presented. An innovational general form and more explicit physical property of the symmetric fourth rank elastic tensors is presented. A new method to measure the stiffness and piezoelectricity in the elastic fiber reinforced composite and piezoelectric ceramics materials using the no...
Approximate analytical solutions to the double-stance dynamics of the lossy spring-loaded inverted pendulum
SHAHBAZI, Mohammad; Saranlı, Uluç; BABUSKA, Robert; LOPES, Gabriel A. D. (IOP Publishing, 2017-02-01)
This paper introduces approximate time-domain solutions to the otherwise non-integrable double-stance dynamics of the 'bipedal' spring-loaded inverted pendulum (B-SLIP) in the presence of nonnegligible damping. We first introduce an auxiliary system whose behavior under certain conditions is approximately equivalent to the B-SLIP in double-stance. Then, we derive approximate solutions to the dynamics of the new system following two different methods: (i) updated-momentum approach that can deal with both the...
