Compensation methos for quasi-static acceleration sensitivity of MEMS gyroscopes /
Gavcar, Hasan Doğan; Azgın, Kıvanç; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2014)
This thesis presents the quasi-static acceleration compensation methods for a fully decoupled MEMS gyroscope. These methods are based on the utilization of the amplitude difference information between the residual quadrature signals on the differential sense mode electrodes to sense the static acceleration acting on the sense mode of the gyroscope. There are three different quasi-static acceleration compensation methods presented in this thesis. In the first method, the static acceleration is measured by co...
Efficiency calculation of feed structures and optimum number of antenna elements in a subarray for highest G/T
Demir, S (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2004-04-01)
For an antenna array, different feed structure topologies may yield the same radiation characteristics. However, different topologies may result in different efficiency and noise performance. In this paper, parallel arm antenna arrays are analyzed for efficiency and noise temperature using the noise equivalent line length method (NELL) with the number of antenna elements in a subarray as a parameter. It is shown that efficiency of an antenna array feed structure as well as its noise temperature can be calcu...
Lower limits of detection in speciation analysis by coupling high-performance liquid chromatography and chemical-vapor generation
Arslan, Yasin; Yildirim, Emrah; Gholami, Mehrdad; Bakirdere, Sezgin (2011-04-01)
Speciation studies are much more important than total element determination because toxicity of many elements depends on their chemical forms. Nobody can claim that a foodstuff is very dangerous to eat by determining total arsenic due to the possibility that the arsenic could be present in non-toxic forms. Hence, speciation studies are crucial in any matrix relevant to human beings.
