Thienopyrrole And Selenopyrrole Containing Conjugated Polymers For Organic Photovoltaics
Çırpan, Ali; Öztürk, Soner; Erer, Mert Can; Toppare, Levent Kamil (null; 2018-07-06)
Thiadiazoloquinoxaline and benzodithiophene bearing polymers for electrochromic and organic photovoltaic applications
Hacioglu, Serife O.; Ataoglu, Emre; Hizalan, Gonul; Depci, Tolga; Çırpan, Ali; Toppare, Levent Kamil (Informa UK Limited, 2019-09-02)
Two novel thiadiazoloquinoxaline and benzodithiophene (BDT) bearing copolymers were designed and synthesized. Different BDT units (alkoxy and thiophene substituted) were used as donor materials and the effect of alkoxy and thiophene substitution on the electrochemical, spectroelectrochemical and photovoltaic properties were investigated. Both polymers exhibited low oxidation potentials at around 0.90 V and low optical band gaps at around 1.00 eV due to the insertion of electron poor thiadiazoloquinoxaline u...
Thieno[3,4-c]pyrrole-4,6-dione-Based Conjugated Polymers for Nonfullerene Organic Solar Cells
Yasa, Mustafa; Toppare, Levent Kamil (2022-02-01)
Donor-acceptor (D-A) conjugated polymers have gotten significant attention in the past decades. Wide application area, ease of production, and cost-effectiveness have made the D-A conjugated polymers a pivotal class of organic electronics. Organic solar cells (OSCs) became one of the most critical application areas of conjugated polymers among many. Up to the last decade, intensive research has been conducted on fullerene-based OSCs. Drawbacks of fullerene derivatives like high cost, production obstacles, a...
Thiamine pyrophosphate dependent enzyme catalyzed reactions: Stereoselective C-Cbond formations in water
Demir, Ayhan Sıtkı; Ayhan, Peruze; Sopaci, S. Betuel (Wiley, 2007-11-01)
Enzymes are biodegradable and renewable resources that utilize water as the reaction solvent. Reactions catalyzed by enzymes are among the most effective, selective, and 'green' processes available today. The advantages of using biocatalysts include their high degree of regio- and stereo-specificity, versatility, and high reaction rates under mild reaction conditions. Enzyme catalyzed enantioselective C-C bond formation reactions are rather important aspects of synthetic organic chemistry. Thiamine pyrophos...
Thiophene ended epsilon-caprolactone conducting copolymers and their electrochromic properties
Kerman, I; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Yilmaz, F; Yagci, Y (Informa UK Limited, 2005-04-01)
epsilon-Caprolactone was polymerized by ring-opening polymerization (ROP), using thiophene methanol as the initiator and stannous octoate as the catalyst to yield poly(epsilon-caprolactone) with a thiophene end group. Homopolymerization of thiophene functionalized poly (epsilon-caprolactone) (PCL) was achieved by a constant current electrolysis method. Copolymerizations of PCL with thiophene and pyrrole were achieved in acetonitrile (ACN)-tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBAFB) solvent-electrolyte coup...
